NEW YORK
The NBA announced its complete 2026-27 regular season schedule Tuesday. The league's 81st season begins October 20 with an NBC/Peacock tripleheader.
The opening day features the Boston Celtics visiting the Detroit Pistons at 3 p.m. ET, followed by the defending NBA champion New York Knicks hosting the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET. The San Antonio Spurs play the Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 p.m. ET to conclude the tripleheader.
The regular season ends April 11, 2027, with all 30 teams in action. An ESPN doubleheader will highlight the final day, with matchups to be determined later.
Each team plays 80 of its 82 games on assigned dates. The remaining two games per team will be played between December 4 and December 10, based on results from the Emirates NBA Cup Group Play.
The Emirates NBA Cup Group Play consists of 60 games played on Fridays from October 30 through November 27, with additional games on November 24 and November 25. Prime Video will stream the Knockout Rounds, beginning with Quarterfinals on December 4 and 5, Semifinals on December 8 or 9, and the Championship on December 11.
