[Part 1 of 7] [00:00] [David] issued $8 billion worth of digital credit this year. And the most successful IPO of the year was stretch, its STRC. It was $2.5 billion. I couldn't have done any of it without AI. If if we had not had AI, we would be $8 billion less. We had five IPOs. None of them would have happened because I used AI to design the securities and solve all the tax problems and all the securities law issues. You know, so I like I'm a big believer in using AI to design new things. And look, I'm just I I focus upon digital credit and security, but there's someone there thinking about how to make the car drive and cure cancer and like like aren't there like 100 million problems the human race has to solve that we've that you're like, well, you're going to need a thousand people with PhD to solve that. Well, guess what? Now every 16-year-old has a thousand PhDs at their fingertips. And so I'm very bullish. I think the world's going to be a much better place and and we're going to see an age of empowerment and abundance because of digital technology. [01:10] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. [01:13] [David] Not really. I mean, people who buy gold are trying to preserve. [01:15] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] No, greedy. Centuries. We have centuries of people being greedy to go ahead and acquire gold. [01:21] [David] Well, no, well, you're talking about to acquire wealth. Yes, people are greedy in that they want they want more things and there's nothing wrong with that. But when they're converting what they've earned into gold, that's not the greed part. That's the preservation part. I I I've I've earned all this money because I was greedy. Now I don't want to lose it. I want to store it so I can use it later. I don't want to blow it all right now. I want to hold on to it. And, you know, gold is a way to do that. You can't really do that in a fiat currency that's just being printed, you know, into oblivion. So, uh, but but but, you know, the the greed is in the speculative frenzy that accompanies Bitcoin. [02:04] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] They tell me that I'm the reason they own Bitcoin because they listened to me years ago about economics, about sound money and and and and the Fed and inflation. And I'm the one that got them. Plus, there's a lot of utility technology in Midnight that's going to make the use of Cardano safer. Like Midnight Passport will be the fastest, safest and easiest way to use Cardano. So, we gain all the usability enhancements. Plus, I already Midnight is an essential component for Bitcoin, for Bitcoin DeFi. When you look at that side of it, you're like, okay, Bitcoin users, they want privacy. So, Cardano could do a lot of the heavy lifting on the programming side, but where is the private coordination layer? This is all that. So, we're actually working on this program, our Bitcoin DeFi setup, where we call it the the circle. So, you start with Bitcoin and Taproot. I'm going to put 50 Bitcoin of my own money into this. It's free Bitcoin. It works. So, you start with Taproot and Bitcoin, you lend it to stable coins. So, that'll curl off Cardano through a specialized transaction through the bridge. And then that stable coin would then be deployed into a yield bearing instrument. And then as you make yield, the yield is converted to Bitcoin and then it's sent to your Taproot. And then Midnight coordinates all of it with privacy. So, you you have like all three networks working together, and you have this circle. And then for the Bitcoin users, for the effective, you just give them a button, make money, click the button. And then it locks their Bitcoin, and you start generating a yield, the security actions, and you transfer the Taproot on the Bitcoin network. So, it meets my three rules that I have for Bitcoin DeFi. One, there's only Bitcoin. No other crypto. [03:37] [Guest: Leah] Bitcoin, Litecoin is better money than than fiat, obviously. Also better money than gold. I I think it's I believe it's the best form of money that um humans have ever come across. Right? Money being a good being that is um it's inflation proof, right? No one, no single person, company or or government can print more money, right? Can print money and say the ways the money you're holding. Uh, you're storing. Right? That's kind of one of the key things of our money. If you work hard and you make money, you don't want that money to kind of distill with time not from your own doing. Right? So that's that's key in Bitcoin, Litecoin and uh most cryptocurrencies um is able to do that. [04:24] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] I could have the argument that real estate's better than Bitcoin. [04:27] [David] For a number of reasons, by the way, depending on who you are. Um, your audience could probably disagree because they're probably a bunch of, you know, Bitcoin maximalists that don't have as much Bitcoin as the real estate guy, by the way. [04:41] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] No, I I'll tell you right now, hold on one second. [04:45] [David] See, that's the funny thing, dude, that me and my brother were talking about this yesterday. You know, the guys that know the most seem to have the least. [04:53] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] 100%. That that I can probably agree with you on. [04:57] [David] I think it should be a bigger issue within the crypto system and the ecosystem. What do you think? [05:02] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] I think it will be. I think privacy is going to be the the new if you want in my view, and this is what I'm tasking the investment professionals at Mailstream to sort of figure out. I think that the stand out shitcoin or, you know, few shitcoins of 2026 to 2028 will be related in some way shape or form to privacy. We already saw the, you know, amazing move of Zcash over the last few months. Yes, it's down 50% from the 780 high, but I think again, my goal is, you know, my mental model is 10 to 20% of the value of Bitcoin. That's where Zcash comes up. So much higher than where it is today. But, you know, taking away Zcash, what is the token project or protocol that's going to utilize some privacy technology, probably something related to ZK, zero knowledge proofs, to do something whether that's quantum resistant, you know, the overlords can't deanonymize your data or, you know, see what we're doing. Whatever it is, right? These are the things that we're latently afraid of of what bad things that could happen with this proliferation of Big Tech, Big Government. [06:11] [Guest: Nigel Farage] Donald Trump getting elected and knowing that we share friends in the White House for all the populist parties of Europe who are under attack, every single populist leader. If you look at the leaders, and my last documentary was called Silence. I got 18 months in prison for my last documentary. The reason I aired it was because the documentary was so bigger than me. It's exactly what they're doing. No fair. It's been waged against if you go through, I'll pick anyone. Pick Geert Wilders, the leader of the Dutch party. Pick Marine Le Pen, any politician in Europe, yeah? Anyone. Pick anyone who has stood up and tried to speak against immigration, and you will see a history. Matteo Salvini, I was with him two days ago, the deputy Prime Minister of of Italy, was prosecuted in 2020. They said he kidnapped because he stopped the boat. He was prosecuted in 2021. He was in charge of a crime. The process is the punishment. Every political leader who tried to step up was charged. You saw it done to Bannon, you saw it done to Stone, you saw it they're trying to do to Trump. That's happening across the board. They're of their the totalitarian state. But I think it's probably because you're elected from on very often is man of the future. More is not because we're not in. [07:25] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] They're going to simulate a public already, publicly awake. [07:29] [David] So the other thing about it is is a lot of the house, you know, it's going to have a neutral impact on the 2022 election. There are certain races that were absolutely going to be lost are still in play because of the money coming in. And it keeps things like Cardano alive, which has been changed a lot. We've had many conversations to try to get it into a better shape and hopefully September 15th will actually be able to get it up and live. We had a lot of problems in the year for they actually. There were over 500 pieces of adjustment and documentation that were I don't think anybody realizes how much work's gone into it. I talked to Charles, I said, everything's terrible. He said, you know, we worked on this three times longer than Obama worked on his with and that was our response to 2008 financial crisis. [08:14] [Guest: Leah] This is politics and we need to get crypto and our industry out of these partisan debates, out of these partisan issues. It's really not healthy to treat any technology as some kind of political pawn. This isn't about Republicans, this isn't about Democrats. This is about freedom. This is about giving people access to their assets online. This is about I don't know, can back globally without an intermediary. This is about the economy, this is about innovation, this is about future finance. This isn't about Red versus Blue. We really need to get out of that. [08:47] [Guest: Leah] They've been very negative on Bitcoin and crypto. They've even public statements calling it rat poison 2.0 or pet rocks or, you know, you know, name your name your funny name. Now these same institutions have now understood that this is not a fad. This is here to stay and oh, we need to get a piece of the pie as well because that's [09:08] [Guest: Charles Hoskinson] If I had a genie and three wishes that I could make gold better, my first wish would be shrink the supply to 21 million coins and make it illegal to make it more. And my second wish is make it invisible and teleportable and indestructible. And let me carry as much gold, you know, in my pocket as I possibly can. And my third wish would be make it programmable. So a billion AIs can trip, teleport it and transform it a million times a minute, so that I can put it on a, you know, a billion computers and and have it have it get traded back and forth 37,000 times while I'm sleeping, right? And I would think digital gold as I just described it, it's got to be better and more valuable than physical gold and especially in the 21st century when you're looking at 10 billion computers and 10 billion AIs and 10 billion mobile devices and, you know, you never teleport an ounce of gold on an iPhone. So I just think it's digital gold. It's got to be 10x to 100x better than gold. [11:55] [Music] [11:55] [Speaker] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh wait. I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to share in the value it creates. Or maybe it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating, and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So why hasn't it happened yet? We're still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix. It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's where we build Midnight. To bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. [13:15] [Speaker] Ladies and gentlemen, we all know this in crypto. Ownership matters. That's why Cake Wallet. [13:57] [Music] [13:59] [Speaker] This is Houston. G minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. Breaking news. There's an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. Is that guy on FOMO? Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. Opportunity cost is simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO, we have a highest in the room. The satellite has been restored. This. For now, the crisis appears to be over. Go ahead, we've been running. Positions look good too. [15:41] [Music] [15:46] [Speaker] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [16:12] [Music] [16:16] [Speaker] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [16:42] [Music] [16:46] [David] Welcome to the breakdown. Episode 796, sponsored by Midnight. We're going to get into Midnight, we're going to talk about Midnight. Midnight doing phenomenal. And I have been saying it for how long have I been before the and I have to keep on saying this before the sponsorship and obviously the show is sponsored by Midnight. But before all that, I've been talking about Midnight. We've been talking and talking and talking about Midnight. And look what it's doing. Look what it is doing. You got to be happy. You got to be happy if you're in. You know, before before Midnight was a sponsor, Charles was on here and and we talked about Midnight, besides talking about Cardano, and he was super bullish, super fucking bullish about Midnight and what Midnight is capable of doing. I'm not only excited about like you guys number going up, but Midnight will be a protocol that goes potentially outside of the Web3 bubble. And I'm betting on that. Polymarket. Polymarket is the official prediction market sponsor of the breakdown. When you sign up to Polymarket, use code breakdown. Okay? If you sign up to Polymarket, use the code breakdown. Also, Cake Wallet. Cake Wallet, one of the most secure wallets that we have in this industry. That's right. You can watch me this month trade on FOMO, but I'm only trading things that are over 50k. No, no, no, no, no, no, let's rewind that. Anything that's over a million, 1.5 million dollar market cap, I will go ahead and buy on FOMO. FOMO.fm. That's right. We're going to make sure we do it right. The haters are going to have to pay premiums in order to sabotage projects. All right. We're back. Episode 796. And I think to talk about yesterday that I'll now be able to talk about today. Also, Leah from Cake Wallet, the marketing manager director, will be joining us at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to talk about Cake Wallet and talk about the markets. Exciting. Leah's killing it. I'm saying Leah, she'll say Leia. Well, Leia's killing it. You know, okay, Leia is absolutely fucking killing it. I I every single time I go on to my goddamn timeline, I see Leia out there MCing all over the place. She's all over the world. And I said that to her last, when she came on here last time, I said, man, you're traveling a lot. She's tripled the traveling amount. We're going to talk about the marketing and branding that Cake Wallet is doing, which I think is phenomenal. Also talk about also talk about Radar Chat and everything else that's being built out there. And even though her, I know her focus is on Cake Wallet, we'll we'll still go ahead and and talk about that. All right, guys, ladies and gentlemen. Oh my God. Bitcoin's running. Bitcoin is showing strength. Bitcoin, I'm sitting here and I'm this is the first time and I'm I'm going to tweet this out. I'm going to tweet this out because I have this tweet ready. This is the first time that I feel like you have people Sorry. That you have people actually going into Bitcoin as a safe haven. I really believe this is the first time I believe that people are looking at Bitcoin the same way they look at precious metals, they look at obviously gold. That is that is how I view it. By the way, I'm doing a giveaway today. For those who retweet, so so here's how you're you're eligible for the giveaway. You got to be subscribed to YouTube, the YouTube channel because that's where we stream from. Obviously, that started last week. You got to subscribe and have your notifications on. And you got to be able to prove it by re-sharing it on X. I'm giving away money. You got to be able to prove it. So, subscribe, share, put your notifications on. Let's fucking go. Okay? Let's fucking go. I love YouTube. I love X also. I love X and Twitter, or formerly known as Twitter, whatever, but YouTube and shout out to TikTok. The moderators on TikTok. TikTok recently has been having unbelievable conversations in the live chat, so shout out to you guys too. I haven't been able to watch and view the comments, but I hear good things. Okay? I hear phenomenal things. Anyway, I really feel now that Bitcoin is being looked at as a safe haven with everything that is happening within our economy and the global economy. So, for those who have held Bitcoin, congratulations, you can be absolutely bullish. Does Bitcoin now ultimately hit 100k by the end of the year? I'm more bullish on that happening. I'm absolutely 100% way more bullish on Bitcoin hitting 100k than ever before. Than ever before. I think it does it. 100%. Easily. Will it break its all-time high by the end of the year? That'll be interesting. I've been sitting here and I'm wondering, man, fuck. What I would love a pullback. Just one more time for all the majors to pull back so I can get some more before we go. I don't see that happening. I just I I I don't see that happening. People are asking me, I'm like, I I I just don't see it. And and this is not me being a bulltard or, you know, I'm always bullish. Okay, everybody knows I'm always bullish. I'm bullish on Bitcoin at a dollar. But I'm looking at everything besides the bullish sentiment, which we've had now and it's and it's growing and growing and growing by the day. I just feel like Bitcoin at this point is ready to rip. And I don't know if we get that pullback. Again, I'm hoping, I'm hoping for a pullback. But I don't know if we get it. And I don't know if we get a pullback with Ethereum. I don't know if we get a Solana pullback. By the way, Solana is probably, I got to say this, Solana is probably going to do so many X's during this bull run, it's going to be ridiculous. I'm actually if you watch my shows previously, when Solana wasn't up here, I said, I'm I'm betting on Solana. I I'm throwing more money and redirecting more money into Solana than ever before because I'm making a bet that Solana does more X's than anything else here within this space. During the bull market. During the bull cycle. That's exactly what I said. And I and I and I know that it will happen. And we're going to get into Solana versus Robin Hood. Healthy competition. This is not about bashing either one. It's just healthy perspectives on both protocols, where are they going? What's going to happen? Where are we going? What's going to happen? Who's going to win?
[Part 2 of 7] [David] [00:00] and who's going to take the mind share? Who is going to own the mind share of the meme economy and are the memes going to survive? That is going to be the biggest question now, are the memes going to survive? [David] [00:18] That's what that's what we really need to go ahead and talk about. I don't know. It's what I said yesterday. Will the memes survive? I don't know. [David] [00:29] We are now currently in an era where it is full of Fortnite players that are trading so-called memes and only holding for 43 seconds. [David] [00:48] So what is going to happen with the meme economy? Will the meme economy rise? Because it's the last, it is the last sector that we have in crypto where the people still rule. Where the people can still show two middle fingers to the centralized figures that never gave y'all an opportunity to win. [David] [01:23] That is to me, I sit back and I wonder, I wonder, I wonder. What will happen with the meme economy? It's something that I've been very bullish on since the very beginning. What will happen? [David] [01:38] I could tell you what needs to happen. The OGs need to step up and say enough is enough. It's something that I've been rambling on for a really long time now. We need the OGs to step up and say enough is enough. [David] [02:00] And that's why the movement is very important. To build a movement with some real OGs, real adults in the room that can go ahead and actually heal the space. That's what needs to happen. If that does not happen, the memes will die. And people will go and start trading tokenized stocks. That will happen. [David] [02:27] So those are the two things. You will have a complete full-blown casino, a complete full-blown casino. Which most adults will walk away from and say, you know what? We had a good run. It's time to leave and focus on other things or focus on things that the adults are playing with. [David] [02:54] Or we have a a movement where all leaders come together and all the OGs that have been here for multiple cycles come together and say, enough is enough. You little broccoli head motherfuckers over here, you leave now. The adults have come back to take over. We shall see if it happens. [David] [03:17] We got Landy on here for 10 minutes. Let's go ahead and bring Landy in. Landy, what's going on? Good morning to you. Oh, yeah, good morning to you. You're on that coast. What's going on? [Guest: Landy] [03:25] Hey, well, good afternoon to you, David. It's good to see you. Um, I'm enjoying, you know, the uh, the new month open here. Now, last that we talked, we talked about, um, the conditions that I'd be looking for for Bitcoin to maybe change, um, you know, what I'm looking at and we actually met the conditions that I was looking for and that was a close above the uh, monthly, um, at 828 for Bitcoin. Um, Ethereum, I think is actually interesting as well. You know, it was it's it's been a funny kind of a bull to bear cycle. Uh, but Ethereum, um, also did, you know, similar, right? We we've had now Ethereum, uh, break its bear market lower high. Um, and in earnest, you know, it kind of already did so. So maybe Ethereum was kind of telling us to read the tea leaves for Bitcoin that Bitcoin was probably going to go and do it. We've seen that alts have, um, usually like to, uh, like to make their moves before Bitcoin. Um, in prior cycles, they've done so and it seems as though thus far, um, Ethereum broke its downtrending structure back in, um, in September moving into, well, it they actually technically slightly broke it in August moving into September, depending on the chart that you're looking at. But the follow through for September, getting the downtrend break and confirming that, um, is really it's a positive sign for the bulls in the market. Um, you know, we've had, uh, the same thing happen with Solana. Um, Solana, uh, was was early, um, in terms of breaking its, uh, downtrend, did so back in August, essentially around, um, where Ethereum was right on the edge, Solana was very clear. And now we've got Bitcoin following through with a downtrend break on the higher term time frames for the monthly. More importantly, I mentioned that, uh, quarterly close needed to see above 828. That would close a low on the quarterly and that's a big, that's a big deal. That's a very big deal. Um, does it mean that, uh, that price is only going to go up from here? Absolutely not. But it does point to, um, you know, the next big move down likely getting bids, um, and and just really evaluating the next larger move down on the dailies and weeklies. So when we do see that, uh, now we have to, we have to shift into looking for higher low or equal low structure on those longer term time frames. [David] [05:53] I just I'm very, um, I'm very disappointed that I didn't get the pullback that I wanted. [Guest: Landy] [06:01] There's probably going to be a pullback in store. [David] [06:03] Yeah, I don't think it's going to 40 or 50 though. [Guest: Landy] [06:06] Um, that would be a deviation. I I would say that you have to shift into the mode of unless proven otherwise, right? There's always the contingency you have to account for lower prices and new lows. But after you see a major trend break like this, you know, and and this is outside of crypto and inside of crypto, when you see a higher term time frame trend break and the quarterly that closes like this, the next bigger moves down, you have to entertain them as being higher low or equal low. Meaning that you're probably not looking for the 50s and 40s for Bitcoin. You're probably not looking for some of the extreme downside price action, you know, into, you know, back below, uh, 1500 for Ethereum into 1200 or or 1000. But it can't be ruled out, but the the way that you should look at it is the next daily to weekly kind of larger move down, we're looking for higher low or equal lows that relates to that. So, and that's that's what I've been talking about with you for quite some time. It's it's, well, in part it is about the move up because I wanted to see the closes above certain areas in order to get the downtrend break locked in. It's about the next big move down and it does favor the bulls. Um, and once confirmed, um, as higher low or equal low structure for these assets in crypto, especially, um, then it's bull market time, baby. That's when you really should get excited. And I think that I I think that we will see that. Um, I think on the next larger move down, um, you're going to get people that might get a little bit early and then get wrecked, uh, because they start bidding right away. But, um, you know, I would be favoring higher low or equal low structure. Um, if it was going to happen from here, you know, my main area that I'd be looking to is kind of 65 to 70 for Bitcoin. Um, if that area was lost though, that would open up the door for lower. Uh, for Ethereum, you know, I'd be looking for anywhere below, you know, 2350. I'd be looking at, you know, 1800 to 2K, um, as as a good zone for it to try and hold up in. Um, if it did lose it, then of course, lows are back in play, maybe lower. But, you know, we have the first big ingredient that I wanted to see and that is a trend break. So my bias has to shift to first looking for higher low or equal low structure on the next big move down. Um, and if some of those key areas that are dropped, then I can, you know, then then low the lows and lower are back in play. Uh, but as it stands right now, you asked me many, many, many times is what would change my 30/70. I said a close above the uh, bear market lower high would change me to 50/50. Um, but you're going to hear me talk a little bit more bullishly about things. And here's why. I cannot ignore a macro trend break and I cannot ignore a quarterly low set. Doesn't mean that it can't be retested. But higher low, equal low is the is the path forward from here. Um, but you I I have to see it. I have to see it developing on the chart. Can be front run on lower term time frames relative to those higher term time frames as well. So, yeah, I think it's exciting. I think maybe people are a little too excited for it to like race to new all-time highs and stuff like that for everything. [David] [09:33] I I don't I don't I don't I don't know if that that's like from my perspective, I don't know if that's it. I mean, to race to all-time highs, I I don't at least for me it's not that. [Guest: Landy] [09:42] I don't get that. [David] [09:44] You know, for me it's just that I'm I'm watching as Bitcoin continues to move and I I just don't see it going into areas that I thought it would go into. [Guest: Landy] [09:53] And that's okay. [David] [09:55] In the past few weeks. [Guest: Landy] [09:56] Well, you know, we've talked about this scenario, right, David? [David] [10:00] Like if it doesn't I'm just a little bit more bullish. I I like I'm just I'm just saying I'm just a little bit more bullish and I and I just feel like Bitcoin is just it it really is it's gotten to the point where people feel more secure going into it. So it's one of the things that I said, uh, earlier in the show when I started. Um, and it's one of the things that I want to tweet out. And I guess I said this with Dave who was on here. Um, Weissberg, I don't want to fuck up his name either. But he was on here, um, and I said that I think Bitcoin has changed. That I can now say that it that it you could label it a store of value. Or you can say that people look at it as something that they can put their money to when they're worried about the economy, just like gold and precious metals, whatever. That's how I view it now. It has that strength versus the strength that it had, let's say, in the last five, uh, last five years. Five years ago, when people were saying hedge against inflation and all that stuff, not like it is today. And that's why I just feel like it will continue to move slowly towards the upside. I'm not saying this vigorous fast movement past all-time high next week. I I just see it climbing slowly upwards. I I don't see that correction coming. [Guest: Landy] [11:35] Well, um, I would I would say that I I do see a larger correction in play. It's not ready yet. Uh, and it's and it's just a matter of where it comes from. You know, I I've I've talked to you a little bit about this is like, you know, above some of these levels, we just spiked into another weekly, you know, we we tried for the highs, got 87K on Bitcoin. If it if it can push a little bit further, 88 to 90 is is a big area of interest. But above there, there's nothing saying that we can't run to the mid to low 90s, 93 and a half, 95, potentially even 98 to 100. You know, we talked a little bit about this the other day. That but it's contingent on closes above right around 90, 90K for me. Um, and you'd want to see consistency in terms of it being held up, um, you know, in terms of any kind of retests after it breaks above areas. But, you know, I I do think personally that we are in the first couple of weeks here, we we do have to pay attention to maybe a larger correction starting to get rolling. Like even if we do spike up, we do have to be aware that a larger correction might be in store for us here shortly. And that's where I think things will get interesting. Um, you know, and that's just based on the charts that I'm looking at, the areas of interest that Bitcoin is in, same for Ethereum, same for Solana. We're right into resistance. Yes, we got all of the positive signs that I wanted to see for the bulls. But I need to see, I I would prefer to see them push higher. Like I would like to see Bitcoin actually get a little bit more of a pump up. I'd like to see, uh, Ethereum get a little bit more of a pump up. But regardless whether it does or it doesn't, the next larger move down, I think is going to define whether or not the macro lows are are are in, right? And whether or not those major lows for the quarterlies are in and that is, you know, kind of it. That's the opportunity. You and I've talked about this prior. It's like, okay, I was looking for 58 to 60 as one of the most important areas to the downside. Long time ago when we were at the all-time highs. If we were, you know, we we played around with this on your stream, um, for the breakdown and you came on to, uh, a few other shows where we were talking about it with others. It came up. And the big thing is, is I think that you're right. And and this is this is we have an example. [David] [13:57] Hold on. Somebody clip this. Did he just say this? [Guest: Landy] [14:02] And I'm going to give you an example. Clip that clip that. Oh man, the clip that thing has been really funny. [David] [14:07] The pause market. Yeah, I've been right on about a lot of things. [Guest: Landy] [14:11] Well, look, and now and and and look, I also know that you you look at the charts too. And no, there David's dirty little secret is that he actually looks at looks at the charts and he understands them. Um, that's his dirty little secret. He won't ever tell you. [David] [14:15] Hold on. I don't know the charts. [Guest: Landy] [14:26] No, he's a liar. Liar. Um, but what I will say to you is, here's where you, I think you are right in the new paradigm for Bitcoin and we saw it post ETFs. As you we get these big moves up and then it's a grind sideways and down, big move up, grind sideways. It just takes forever. And it's been the same in this bear market. It's you get a big move down, sideways and and up for, you know, instead of sideways and down like you do in a bull market, it was sideways and up and then a big move down and then sideways and up and then a big move down. I think it's just going to be this grinding market in both bull and bear here on out, which actually does lend to stability. And it lends to everything that I've talked about as well, which is over time, the dispersion of returns gets smaller to the that means the moves to the upside get smaller, the moves to the downside get smaller. But in general, I would still be looking for Bitcoin on those longer term time frames to be sideways and up. Right? It's just that you're you're just taking it I think it's going to be a slog is what I'm saying is we'll get these big moves up and then it just kind of grinds people out forever because they get super bullish like it's going to keep going. I mean, look at what just happened over the past couple of weeks. It's just been grind sideways and then move up, grind sideways and then move up. [David] [15:37] But I like that. I actually I I like that. [Guest: Landy] [15:40] Me too. [David] [15:41] I mean, can we make the argument which I like which I put out there and others have, but like when gold got its ETF, if you look at when it got its ETF and Bitcoin got its ETF, can you say that they're moving the same? [Guest: Landy] [15:58] Um, the initial moves maybe a little bit more muted in Bitcoin because it was already pretty volatile, so volatility is coming down. But I could see at post ETF, we all know what happened with gold. It went sideways for a very long time. [David] [16:12] Yeah. [Guest: Landy] [16:13] I could absolutely see that happening with Bitcoin. Um, we've already seen an example of it. Ethereum. And that was even it started even before the ETFs, but after the ETF launched, you know, Ethereum, um, Solana, just running their all-time highs and then going back and running, you know, bear market low structure. It's just a sideways range. Um, although I do favor for Ethereum, Solana and others, uh, a more of a true break and markup in price over the prior highs, um, in the longer term. You could absolutely absolutely see a grind. And and that would actually be the most painful thing for a lot of folks in crypto would be this kind of like large range, longer term time frame grind, even though you get a ton of volatility in lower term time frames, reality is is you're just kind of going sideways like on your year to years. Um, but when you have, you know, the largest asset under management companies in the world, you know, calling these things like like Bitcoin, calling it a a store of value and stuff like that. Well, when you look at a store of value, a store of value has got to be pretty stable. That means that you're stripping a lot of volatility out. So, you know, this is where I I maybe don't I'm I'm not in the same camp. Well, I would be still looking for markups over time and higher highs and we get nice bull runs. I think they might be more muted than many would expect. You know, there's people out here on the timeline, David, you've seen them calling for a million dollars, like Bitcoin soon. Like not not not not in like 5, 10 years. Like they're talking about 2028. Million dollar Bitcoin. And I'm like, bro, there's got to be a lot of things wrong in the economies of the world and the global economy if Bitcoin's trading at a million dollars. [David] [18:00] You know, even Michael Saylor when he came on to this show, he he said, you know, four to eight years. [Guest: Landy] [18:09] Yeah, I would go on the longer end of that, yeah. [David] [18:12] So he was he was like and I think he was really more also pushing towards eight years. But then he said it doesn't really matter. [Guest: Landy] [18:19] Because it doesn't. [David] [18:20] And and that and that's the biggest thing. Like the real I guess real Bitcoiners, I'll say it that way. The real Bitcoiners that that aren't insane, right? And that aren't just pushing hype, will tell you that, yeah, it'll hit a million dollars. Maybe it'll hit it in 2035. But eventually it will. It's more like eventually it will. And and and that those are the type of people that you need to go ahead and listen to. Not the hype machine. Listen, there there I've seen, look, I want to say this about the TA aspect of of charting Bitcoin. Because I see there are spaces out there that are dancing right now on the graves of the TA guy. [Guest: Landy] [19:06] Why? [David] [19:07] And I want to defend the TA guys. Oh, see, they said that it was going to go down to 30 to 40K. Look what's happening now. [Guest: Landy] [19:19] I mean, [David] [19:20] Anybody can be bullish right now. [Guest: Landy] [19:21] You asked me worst case scenario, some of those same guys were saying the same things. [David] [19:26] And I and I heard those rooms. It was doom and gloom. [Guest: Landy] [19:30] Mhm. [David] [19:31] I I've I've listened to those Bitcoin rooms. Doom and gloom. Oh my God. And people were saying, oh my God, the TA guys could have been right. This that now it's like it's I don't understand and I I know we got like two minutes left, but I don't understand why these people celebrate, celebrate. Like we're all in this together. TA people who for me personally, people who do really good TA are looking at every scenario that can happen within the current markets. It's a it's a good gauge to understand like these things could potentially happen. I don't understand why the beef. Why the beef with the TA guy? [Guest: Landy] [20:15] Well, [David] [20:16] It's like, yeah, okay, the weather guy doesn't get everything right. I'm not calling you the weather guy. I'm just saying in general. The the weather man usually is on point. Especially with the newer models. [Guest: Landy] [20:28] But yeah, [David] [20:29] But sometimes like the shit it doesn't pan out and that's fine. That doesn't mean I I'm like, you're wrong. Like we're all in this fucking together. What's wrong with you? [Guest: Landy] [20:42] Well, David, [David] [20:42] And you know which rooms I'm talking about. There's two rooms. [Guest: Landy] [20:44] I know. Well, the the problem, David, is that in many cases, they're only listening to what they want to hear. They hear a number to the downside or they hear a number to the upside and they don't listen to the context. Um, you know, for instance, you and I, I've been talking about this for over a year with you is 58 to 60, 58 to 60, 58 to 60. And every time you've asked me, do you think a macro load be here? And I'm like, look, I I could it form here? Absolutely. I'm I'm not I'm not going to I'm not going to call it until I see what I want to see. And now we're starting to see what I want to see. But you asked me like, hey, worst case scenario, where do you think we would go? I don't know. Maybe 45 and a half to 48 to 50 is kind of a big area. That's one one place I'd be looking, you know, worst case scenario. A lot of people ask me, what is your worst case scenario? But then that gets assigned and painted as like, that's what he's calling for, right? And and I wasn't calling for that. I'm like watching price action and keeping up to date on what's going on and as the picture changes, I want people to know what to look for and and I think it's very important. Like there's there's there's an aspect of social media of the called it culture. And reality is is called it doesn't make you any money. Trading it and investing in it and and some of what you and I talked about with Bitcoin at 65 and under. Remember what you and I were talking about? Both of us very, very clear with the audience. I'm buying here and lower. I'm buying here and lower. And you were like, I'm bullish here. And and granted, David, you you're a bullish guy on crypto in general. But you were you were very adamant. [David] [22:27] I I [Guest: Landy] [22:30] Yeah. At at the at that point and you are being proven correct in terms of your outlook on the markets. But also, I'm here talking to you about it all the time too. It's like 58 to 60 is my big area. It's like the most important area for Bitcoin. [David] [22:44] But I'm before you go, I'm not trying to and I don't know if you're going to be back today at 1:45 when Rob comes on. But [Guest: Landy] [22:52] Unfortunately, probably not. [David] [22:54] Uh, but I know he's going to be crying crocodile. Yeah, he's going to be absolutely sad. And shout out to TikTok. We finally figured out what was happening on there. TikTok has now allowed me to play my ads. So now people can tune into TikTok. We have an audience there tuned in right now. I love you guys. Thank you very much for all your support. But, um, at the end of the day, yeah, I'm a little bit more bullish than you, but I can also listen two ears, one mouth to a different perspective. And and that and I'm never trying to get you to be a yes man. I'm just trying to figure out especially with you because you're set in stone when when you look at things, hey, are we are you going to change your mind? And and that's really because if you're going to get bullish, then I'm super bullish. Do you want to get do you get where I'm coming from? Like I'm already bullish. You're you're like scales and shit. But when like if you're turning bullish, then I'm super bullish. [Guest: Landy] [23:49] Yeah, yeah, yeah. [David] [24:00] You're my indicator. [Guest: Landy] [24:01] Yeah, I'm going to leave you with this, David. Um, there's people within the TA sphere that vehemently disagree with my take on this. Um, but the next larger move down, um, I have I've already taken and slid a lot of my bids that were lower into some of the areas that I just talked about, 65 to 70. Um, I've got some bids sitting back at 60 where prior I had I had slid them down while we were in the downtrend. But now that we have the trend break, I've moved my bids up. Some of the folks in the audience might remember us talking about exactly this is like I'm laddering in. Somebody in the audience asked about it. said like, well, what if it gets a higher low? I'm sliding my bids up. I've already slid my bids up. Now, does that mean that it's going to get a higher low on longer term time frames? No, no, no. It's just that that's what the TA is telling me. That's what the fundamentals are telling me. That's what the market conditions are telling me is that if we get a nice big flush down, I'll get those fills. And if I don't get them and we see a higher low come in higher, I'll just slide them back up. That's why I think it was very important that we've had so many discussions when Bitcoin was in and around the 60 to $65,000 range about I have bought here. I am buying here and lower. And if it doesn't go any lower, I'm going to throw in on the next higher low. And I am I have to look for that. Even if I'm still 50/50 on the macro low being in, I have to trade what I see and I have to adhere to my system. My system is we break the the the bear market lower high, I have to bid in these areas for a potential higher low. That is my system. I'm hedged. It's okay. But that's what I meant when I kept saying and hammering pounding the table, um, saying, have a plan. That's part of my plan. Even though I'm not saying macro low in, I'm still looking for a bigger move down. That bigger move down, I'm looking to turn into a bullish one. And that's that the the risk is that it doesn't.
[Part 3 of 7] [00:00] and that's I'm okay with that risk. I'm layering in bids, uh, the bids that I had lower. I've already moved them up. They're going to sit there until they get hit or not. [00:08] Don't feel bad, man. Don't feel bad because at the end of the day, I was kind of like praying that we pull back hard. So I can again, buy up and then let it send. But [00:20] I think a part of you also wanted to see the Bitcoin Maxis cry. [00:25] I I just You remember when I told you that I think that people have gone through enough suffering. You remember we were we were having a conversation and I said that [00:39] you wanted to see more people suffer, right? Because you're sadistic. And I said, I think that people have had enough. Like I I because I've been on the timelines on multiple social media platforms and and I see like people were giving up. Like when I see given up, that's when I'm like, okay, we're about to turn the corner because people have had enough. So, um, on that note, I guess have a wonderful show, 8:00 p.m., right? 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time? [01:10] Yeah, it's going to look a little different. Um, it's going to be uploaded to the Goxteen account later because I've been having some trouble with uh audio issues with X and YouTube. So I'm going to be uploading it after. It is going to run on, um, on my channel first, um, until I can connect the Goxteen account to this other service that I'm going to try to use because I think that uh restream just hates my guts. [01:38] Well, uh, restream is not the only uh platform that hates your guts. Thank you, uh, [01:48] Yo, that is true. That is so true. Yeah, I swear to God, like the more and more I think about it, I am the Rick Flair of crypto or social media. I don't I don't know. It's it's somebody said that to me today from a uh mainstream media network and I'll talk to you about that later. Uh, they're like, you're like the Rick Flair. And and again, the Howard Stern of of crypto or digital assets, you're just like a You imagine people like I don't even realize people watch the show. That's insane to me what I just said, right? Like people watch the show. They're like, man, I saw that episode where you're the beep beeps are going on. Okay, anyway, uh, thank you, Lay, appreciate. And it's always awesome to have on on a show like this, we have a puppet uh that comes on here. That's that's normal, right? That's absolutely fucking normal. Uh, Jesus Christ. This this bodes well for my career. Uh, love you, Lay. Appreciate you. Uh, have a have a great one and uh, I'll see you uh, I guess I'll see you. I'll see you around on Monday. [02:55] Yes, sir. We'll talk soon. [02:57] All right, bye, Lay. [02:58] Take care. [03:00] That's Lay the puppet. That's right. That's right. I don't begrudge. Okay. Oh my God. We'll be right back after this commercial break. We'll we'll bring Lay on here and we'll talk about We'll talk about the superstar here. She's she's gone I mean, she's always had superstar potential, but she's she's gone from a star to a superstar. And I'm going to talk to her about that. I'm going to I'm going to pin her on this question and she's not going to be able to pin uh or plead the fifth. We'll be right back after this commercial break. By the way, can somebody have told me, hey, you maybe just maybe redo the cake wallet commercial because you look like a vampire. We'll be right back. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I'm here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tone Vays. Okay, we're back. Tell me not. I was looking at the commercial. I'm going to re-watch it this weekend because there's no way. Like I I look you know, this is the editor's fault because you think an editor would care about you and say, look, bro, like you need to go get a tan or some shit or like the lighting wasn't right. And here I am just playing it. I'm watching it recently. I'm like, why do I look like a vampire? Anyway, we're going to bring uh We're going to bring Lay in here. Lay, what's going on, superstar? [05:28] Hey, it's good. How are you? [05:31] Good. You're like everywhere. Like okay, on my timeline, I guess because I cleaned it up. I like I've cleaned up my timeline to like make sure that I'm getting value. I'm I'm in touch with what's happening. The good products out there and like you are I'm not just blowing smoke up your ass. Like you are everywhere moderating panels. You're in Germany like I'm just naming places, but it seems like you're in Germany, Italy, Spain, like every Asia. I'm surprised you're not somewhere else. Are you are you back in the states or? [06:06] Back in the states for, you know, like a week or two. We'll see. [06:12] I I got to say, I got to give you a shout out because I don't know I I'm I'm sure it's you, but like the branding of Cake Wallet is like next level now. You see Cake Wallet everywhere. Like the branding is honestly from from where it was in the beginning to now, next level. But everywhere you look, it's like it's almost like my grandmother's branded by Cake Wallet. [06:39] Oh, that's awesome. No, it's I mean, I feel so fortunate to be working with the Cake team. They honestly make it easy to make the socials look good because they're just always doing such cool stuff in the background. I think it's just maybe they needed someone to help highlight that a little more, but as you know, the Cake team's always been always pushing the envelope, doing cool things. But yeah, now we're just probably highlighting it a little bit better. So. [07:01] I I have you seen a major uptick in downloads for Cake Wallet since uh everything that transpired with Cold Card where people obviously got drained. Like did you see an uptick in in downloads of Cake Wallet? [07:17] Yeah, we actually did. Um, and I think that um a lot of the other self-custody providers in the space did. I had the chance to hang out with the Treasure team a little bit in uh Finland when I was at BTC. They also, you know, had mentioned seeing an uptick. So I think a lot of the more trusted names in the self-custody space really did see that at least at first. So. [07:38] Do you see a lot more people uh asking you or asking the team about cupcake and you know, using like a, you know, using a using a phone, you know, factory resetting it and, you know, downloading uh cupcake. [07:53] Yeah, that's a great question. We definitely had an uptick in interest in cupcake. And obviously, we don't want to be capitalizing on any, you know, kind of misfortune, but it was a it's a very helpful tool that we were able to like, hey guys, like if you don't actually want to give your address to someone, you do actually own hardware already in your home that you can turn into a fully air gap, you know, secure offline device. And so, um, we definitely saw some more interest in that, um, you know, after the cold card incident. And also, you know, maybe like some of the data hacks we've seen recently. I mean, for years, I've always, you know, my own channel said, hey, don't put your home address on anything crypto related, but you don't always know those things until you know those things or until it's too late. I just I was personally, um, you know, had a lot of friends affected with the ledger hack that happened years ago. And so since then, I've been like, all right, guys, never put your home address on anything. But ultimately, with cupcake, you don't have to. You just take an old phone and turn it into a hardware wallet. [08:49] And I'm not dancing on their grave. I like I feel bad because anybody building in this space, you know, obviously like it's a small it's a small space, small circle. There there are, you know, you meet people at conferences. But I also like I sit back, we've had so much time to make sure that these these problems would be satisfied. Yeah. And they weren't. Like and and that's what sucks. I think that's where I've been really critical is that we have AI now. Like we you want to call it super intelligence, whatever the new label for it is, you have it at the palm of your hands and I why not dedicate 15%, 20% of your funds to that department to make sure that there's no exploits because we're using these products, right? We we're supposed it's supposed to be permissionless and we're supposed to feel safe. But it sucks when like I feel safer with my bank than I do with my cold wallet, right? [09:53] Right. Well, and you know, you mentioned AI and I think a lot of people right now are scared about the um acceleration of AI to find bugs and to exploit these vulnerabilities. But there's also the flip side of the coin where now teams have a much deeper tool bench than they've had ever before. Like instead of a, you know, an audit taking months to get the results back, which there's still definitely space for a person actually auditing. But the way that you can just run AI audits on your own code now is crazy. And so, I mean, hopefully it is just in general making the space more secure. Yeah, you know, and opening the eyes of maybe all the companies that work in the self-custody space to be like, okay, let's really make sure everything says lockdown as it needs to be. But, um, but yeah, there there's two sides to that coin. But yeah, it is it is a little crazy when you're like, you had one job. Literally. Right? Yeah. [10:43] And like I'm watching AI and I've never seen an industry move this rapidly. I I guess on my time on this planet. I it is moving so fast. And I'm thinking, we've been around for so many hacks in terms of protocols and bridges and whatnot. And that came from like people hackers not even having access to AI. Now imagine with the access to the to the clause, to the Geminis, to chat GPT, you know, Claude X and others, like what they will be able to do to some of our greatest protocols here if they're not taking stuff seriously. Like what what are your thoughts there? Because you you talked about AI acceleration and I talked about that as well for the last week. You know, where do we stand here? Like are are do you think protocols are taking this a little bit more seriously or no? [11:41] I mean, I think that if they don't, we'll find out soon. You know what I mean? Like, I mean, ultimately. And so, um, obviously, you know, having a really solid team that knows how to interpret these AI audits and how to actually run those prompts is going to be very important. And you so you've got to still have a very deep technical bench on your own team. But if a team isn't jumping full in to utilizing every tool they can to secure their own code, then I that just seems um irresponsible, you know. [12:12] Do you think quantum computing is should now be pushed How do I how do I phrase it? Right there was a report that quantum computing in 2000 about 2029, 2030, uh it was a report from Google, it would be able to go ahead and crack Bitcoin and obviously others. With the rapid pace of AI, do you that that number shrinks in my eyes? It it should be way closer than 2029. Are we doing everything possible? Okay, I I see I'm going to hit this with I see Vic out there all the time messing around with AI. He's cracking jokes and everything. Are you guys in the lab making sure that you guys are absolutely 100% full-blown protected from any of these assaults that might happen? [13:09] Um, you know, I definitely think that our team is absolutely considering attack vectors from all angles and looking at, okay, how can we protect our community, protect our users, and also just contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem overall. You know, being a team that is kind of pushing those things forward. Um, whether I think quantum computing is going to crack Bitcoin or not, like I mean, I just I think I have to hopefully have faith that the people we have working on Bitcoin are actually going to be testing things out, figuring out, okay, what are the best ways to protect against this. I mean, there's been so many threats to Bitcoin over the years and so far nothing's broken. You know, but one thing I will say though about quantum computing is whether it's a real threat to Bitcoin or not, depending on, you know, again, like as a community, what we're able to kind of come up with as defense mechanisms. It's still a perceived threat and that I think is also a threat in its own where, you know, obviously we've seen a huge increase in institutional interest and, you know, mainstream interest in Bitcoin with the ETFs and all these treasury companies and different things. But ultimately, if people are really like are scared that quantum computing could just break Bitcoin in a few years, that is still a barrier to us seeing further adoption. So that's that's something that I think still concerns me whether it's a real threat or not, you know. [14:26] Are you excited about um Robin Hood coming into this space and now pushing tokenization and allow essentially the push has been to allow people to participate in the traditional markets. What's your view on that? [14:46] You know, I think that um I'm generally a fan of innovation and hey, like we'll see what happens. Like the market always decides. I'm a capitalist at heart really. And so, um, you know, if this ends up being something that is a great tool for people, I mean, obviously, I hope that people understand the risk and reward, you know, of what they're getting into when they start dabbling around. But ultimately, I think more access and more tools is not a bad thing. [15:12] With Cake Wallet, people have asked me, Dave, can I go and put Solana onto Cake Wallet? Because you have a younger We have now, listen, we're I guess we're old now. I I don't think we look old, but I guess we're older. You know, I'm I'll speak for myself. I'm not doing that you. [15:29] No, I I understand. [15:32] The young kids hey, Dave, I watch your show, especially on Tik Tok. There's the younger generations on there right now. I wish the comments were here because they're making me laugh right now. But, um, they're like, what can I use Cake Wallet to store my Solana? [15:49] Well, we we do have support for Solana. We just it's not something that we have done a lot of like development on, so you probably don't see us talk about it on socials very often. But I definitely think there is potential interest, um, for that. We do get requests for like, you know, having more support for meme coins and things like that. But also, we do we are particular about what we support and list, not just because we want to make sure we're doing things that will kind of support our users and protect our users, but also, the more coins you support, the more that takes from a a development lift of keeping and making sure the code base is secure for everything that you are, you know, um, supporting. And so that's why we're fairly particular at kind of evaluating what we support and making sure everything we do have listed, you know, should remain on there and kind of always evaluating that. But yeah, I mean, I definitely think the Solana ecosystem is, um, would be a huge opportunity for us to tap more into because that is where so many of the users are right now. Like you said, especially that younger kind of Tik Tok, like they're just getting into the crypto space. Like that's where they want to be. And, you know, I think that's generally where it's been. Like I know that Bitcoiners, um, like to say like, oh, like let's get everyone to Bitcoin eventually. And I do agree with that. But whether it's Ethereum NFTs or it's been Solana meme coins or whatever it is, the last few cycles, the initial entry has often been those [17:11] kind of more playful, fun things that are bringing people in. [17:16] I mean, and and I I kind of look at this is my personal opinion. I feel like Cake Wallet is a serious wallet. I'm going to get so dope for this. I'm saying this. This is not the this is not the opinions of Cake Wallet. I'm just saying the way I view Cake Wallet is it's a really serious wallet for serious assets. So now I'm going to get destroyed for that. But that to me is the truth. So I could there be like a I mean, Vic is is it am I going crazy when I say Vic is on the timeline always inventing some sort of application? Like look, you guys got radar chat. I tell everybody about it. Especially Bitcoiners. I'm like, listen, here's you have an end-to-end encrypted chat here where you can send stats to each other and and giggle all day, right? Like it's like, go ahead. It's it's a Bitcoin basically is a Bitcoin thing. [18:12] That should be the logo. [18:14] Right? Only for Bitcoiners, right? I I almost went somewhere with that. Um, but do you see maybe making like something I guess like Cake Wallet light to where it kind of and I and I said and I and I get what you said like we need to have development and and support for these assets if we were to ever consider them. But could there be like a like a a separate kind of, you know, wallet called Cake Wallet light or whatever that has those assets on it. [18:43] Well, I can't say that's currently on the road map. Um, but um, I mean, like you said, you never know. I'm trying. I'm trying. But, you know, to your point about Vic always coming with this, I swear he cloned himself and is just like building like three things and we just don't know. Like, like everything he's been doing with Arbitra has been really fun to watch and you just, yeah, you never know what he's going to come up with next. But one thing actually that we were talking about the other day that's interesting is, um, he I mean, he's just good at spotting needs in the market and being like, hey, like I wanted this thing to be able to happen in a current tool I'm using and it's not. So let me just go build it. You know, and they I think that the speed at which he puts things out and ships things and is willing to put things out messy is actually super interesting. So, um, yeah, who knows what that man's building next. So. [19:34] I I feel like I I agree with you. I feel like he identifies needs in the market. Like I see it and and and when he does come out like Radar Chat is a need. Like that is a need especially for Bitcoiners because Bitcoiners are are a special kind of creature. Like it's I want things that are just Bitcoin built only kind of thing. So like that that that is a need in the market and and respect to him that he saw it. There are a lot of other needs. I don't know. I all I see in him is talking about what he's building next. We've been in the markets for a really long time. What do you see what what is the biggest change that you see that that that has happened here? Uh, from let's say, okay, let let's adjust the time frame from 2021 till now, what's the biggest change that you've seen? [20:24] Um, I mean, there's a few. I would say that retail trust is not as strong or interested as it used to be. And I really do think a lot of people got burned in that 21 kind of time frame where they, you know, saw all of these headlines about this NFT that's suddenly worth this or all these different things and they wanted to try to jump in and get involved and instead of trying instead of actually like learning about the fundamentals behind what Bitcoin does, the value proposition it has, what maybe Monero is, like what, um, you know, what Ethereum and the EVM chain and all these different things are. Like, again, you don't have to understand all of them, but picking the things that matter to you based on your interests and then going deep on those few things. I think that people had a little bit of a like almost like spray and pray kind of, um, you know, thing where they're like, well, I don't know what's going what's going to pop off next. And so, I think that that's always a recipe for disaster when you're getting into something especially financially when you don't fully understand the value proposition behind it and you're not fully watching it. And you don't know what to look for on, okay, maybe it's time to get out of this thing or maybe it's time to do this or that. And, um, so I just I think that there was a lot of hype and retail interest, which brought a lot of people into the space, but I don't know how many of them ended up sticking around versus getting burned. So, I would say on the retail side of things, we've seen advancement in maybe Bitcoin where people are like, okay, you know, my financial advisor is starting to mention it. Um, I'm seeing it in the news more, mentioned not as some niche weird thing that's for, you know, criminals or something. Like it's like I think that it's become a much more mainstream topic. But in terms of your everyday investors actually getting involved in the space, especially more of the like altcoin side of things, I just don't it just seems like it's not nearly as strong as as it has been in years past. [22:19] Yeah, I I agree with you. Um, a lot of damage was done in 2021. That's 100%. People got left with NFTs that were valued at 1.5 million and now they're worth $14. Uh, not really a uh, man, uh, that that that's tough. 100% that's tough. Um, I wanted to ask you a question and now I'm having, excuse me, I no, I almost had a bite of moment, but again, that's my terminal. Uh, no, I wanted to ask you about, um, the Clarity Act. [22:58] Mm, okay. [22:59] Everybody was bullish and and I think most people don't even know what the Clarity Act is within our space, no matter how much you explain it. Um, and it's been amended it was amended over 124 times. It didn't even look like the current bill that was submitted in. Uh, you have our politicians that can't even move it to a discussion. Um, but the SEC, the CFTC, they came out with their own version, I guess, of the Clarity Act and some would say that version is better than what was being, you know, put together in Congress. Um, are you what are your thoughts on the Clarity Act number one and do you think Washington is finally going to get themselves together to not only present a Clarity Act, but also clarity on taxes as well to finally make us the crypto capital of the world because otherwise, if these things aren't done, like everybody else is full speed ahead. They have their regulations in. They I'm sure you've traveled all over the place. There's zero capital gains tax after a year. Come to this country, zero taxes, zero everything, live here, affordable, and you can build. Is America going to catch up or we're just going to get left behind? [24:17] That's exactly. You nailed it on the head when it comes to my thoughts around the Clarity Act is that I think that for there to be innovation in the US, we have to have more clarity. Whether it's with the Clarity Act itself or with some other legislation that comes through. But so many of these companies, I mean, the majority of the large institutions that are Bitcoin and crypto are from the US. The majority of the worldwide Bitcoin and crypto users are in the US. We absolutely are primed and in the perfect position to become that capital of the world, and there's no reason we shouldn't be. Um, but we're going to start losing that position, like you said, if we don't continue to be able to to grow, and we might see some of these big companies actually leaving the US. Like, who knows? But when you don't have like real understanding of the the rules that you're allowed to play within, you're not when you're a multi-multi-multi-billion dollar company, custoding all these funds and doing all these things, you're not going to play with going out of those lines. Like you're just not because it's not worth the regulatory backlash and the consequences that might come from that. So, if you understand better what those guard rails actually are, then that gives you the freedom to be more innovative. And so, yeah, it makes me really sad that the Clarity Act didn't pass just because I think that that would have been very bullish for our industry. Do I think that, you know, Congress and, you know, the legislators can get their act together? That's a tall order. You know, I don't know that that happens so often. But, um, you know, ultimately, I think that they will, they'll need to. There's too much demand for it. They're getting too much backlash for not already. But that being said, it's a lot of people, like you mentioned, I've been traveling around the world, you know, lately and talking to a lot of different people, especially in the Bitcoin space. And uh in other countries, I don't think they always realize how much like, um, bill stuffing happens, which you alluded to. It's like, it looked nothing like the original proposal. So, we can pick out the things that are important.
[Part 4 of 7] [Guest: Lea] [00:00] That's for like, oh, this is what the Clarity Act was about. But what else was in there? And is that why people were voting against it? And that's just one of the very, very messy things that happens in the US in our political system. [David] [00:12] Last question because I appreciate your time and I know you're busy. I want to ask you what is next for Cake Wallet? What is next on that road map that we can get excited about because uh I I say Cake Wallet probably 19 times an episode on average. Somebody calculated that. People are tracking how many things I'm saying or or the words that I'm saying per episode. What can we expect though? [Guest: Lea] [00:39] Mmm. Well, the team is always working on testing out new features, improving current ones. What's the best way to improve the, you know, user experience, whether, you know, even just today we talked about, um, upgrading the, you know, kind of back-end protocol for Zcash and things like that. Like it's just that's one thing I really do love about the Cake Wallet team is they're always like five steps ahead of what's happening in the market and testing things out. Um, we do have some fun new features and things coming down the line, um, hopefully in Q4 that I can't totally talk about yet, but just know that like, if there is a tool or something that you are interested in seeing, like give us that feedback because our team is literally always playing around with things and testing things and trying to improve things. And so we love hearing from people, we love to hear what kinds of things they want to see, but, uh, I mean, ultimately, it's been a really fun year for Cake. Um, we've, you know, obviously had lightning get integrated. And I honestly think that that's one of the biggest things. I know that happened earlier in the year, but ultimately in terms of exciting things happening, I mean, I've used all the different lightning wallets out there, maybe not all of them, but, you know, most of them. And I truly do think that Cake Wallet is the easiest one to use and it's been so fun being at all these different conferences and getting to help people maybe set up their first lightning wallet. And they're like, oh, that was easier than I thought. And then getting to use it, you know, when I'm out places and it's just I think ultimately, um, just kind of expanding and growing the lightning ecosystem is really something that's exciting and fun too. So. [David] [02:03] When is the the before you go, when are you changing your handle to uh Girl Gone Monero or Girl Gone Cake Wallet or Girl Gone Bitcoin? I think you've honestly, I think you've this is crazy. I don't want to say this because somebody's going to clip this up. I think you've It's still crypto, but I think you've just outgrown crypto and you're just And that's fine. I think it's just Bitcoin and maybe the other three, uh, you know, assets and that's it. Would that be fair to say or no? [Guest: Lea] [02:38] Yeah, I I'd say that's fair. It's funny. People do ask me that sometimes, you know, like when Girl Gone Bitcoin. And I mean, ultimately, I think that I I am still someone, even though I am, to be honest, primarily Bitcoin in my own interactions within the ecosystem, within my own, you know, holdings and things like that. Uh, I do still like to dabble and play around with different things that happen in the space. And so, um, you know, I think that keeping that kind of broader phrasing is still helpful because it it gives me kind of a better umbrella, but, um, but yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I want to like pigeonhole myself in a certain way. [David] [03:15] I said the same thing to uh Miss Teen Crypto. I'm like, yo, at some point, like, you're not a teen anymore. You you you got to replace the handle. And she started uh she started laughing about that. But it's always great to have you on the show. Hopefully, I didn't offend you in any way and you'll come back in a month or two if you're not traveling. I don't know where you're traveling to. Uh you you must got a lot of miles. Uh but uh much respect to you. I see you out there. I I just want to acknowledge it because we're like old school cats here. And [Guest: Lea] [03:48] I know. [David] [03:50] Again, I'm the old one. I'm going to say this again. I'm going to say to see you out there, like it it you have grown, like big time, moderate, like not that you haven't done it before, but now sitting with multi-millionaires, like, you know, talking about Bitcoin, generational asset, all that stuff. That that's really cool to be inside that conversation and to listen to these people talk and ask them the questions. Uh much respect to you for what you're doing for this space. [Guest: Lea] [04:18] Well, thank you. I I appreciate that. It really has been um such a fun ride since I joined Cake as the head of marketing, you know, really only like, I think it was like five, six months ago. And it's just like you said, like it's just like the opportunities and doors that's even opened has just been really a lot of fun. And so I've just been saying yes and going around and, you know, doing all the things. But I really am like getting a little tired, but, you know, um I am really honored to be asked to, you know, get to do these things. And it's um, yeah, it's been it's been great. So anyway, thank you for that. And and I truly do have so much respect for what you do here in the space as well. Like doing a live stream like this five days a week is it's a big commitment. So many people, I think really turn to you for like a pulse on what's happening in the market. And so I really appreciate you having me on and for like all of your supportive cake over the years too. And um, so, yeah. [David] [05:06] Thank you so much. I appreciate that. I either get love or or or mother effort. So it's either one. There's no middle ground. It is what it is. Um but uh much respect to you and hopefully we get you on next time. [Guest: Lea] [05:19] Perfect. Yeah, I'd love it. Thanks, David. [David] [05:22] That I'll go ahead and put follow her, give her a follow and watch her break the space down. She got her what is it? The 60 it's the 60 second. [Guest: Lea] [05:31] Oh, the crypto minute. Yep. [David] [05:32] Yeah, the crypto minute. I watched that. It's real quick. I don't know how you do it. I I can honestly, I'm way I don't know if I'm lazy. I or maybe maybe I have ADD and that would kick in and it would never it would turn into the quick, you know, 36 hour minute or whatever. Anyway, thank you so much for coming on. I appreciate you. [Guest: Lea] [05:51] Yeah, thank you. Appreciate it. [David] [05:53] Go give her a follow. Uh she's she's been a staple in this space for a really long time. I I just like watching You know, I I I say this all the time. I like watching people grow. And this space is so hard. Like it is taxing. It is difficult. So if you've if you've been here through multiple cycles, bull, bear, doesn't matter like and you continue to just work, it's just nice to acknowledge the people that have withstood the storms from Terra Luna, uh BlockFi, Celsius, I could keep going. A whole list. I mean, we we were there's where's that meme of that woman that went and did bare-knuckle fighting and she's all like she goes in real clean and then she leaves like she's like, I had a great time. Meanwhile, she's missing like nine teeth. She's all bloody, you know, bruises all over the place. To me, like that's what crypto feels like at times. You know, and you're you're just trying to build something, you're trying to provide value, you're trying to elevate yourself here. It's a new industry. It's a baby still. And to see people just like again, to see people level up and that I've personally watched. It's really cool. Like you can acknowledge somebody and say, they've done great things. Like and they're doing great things. The more people we have like Leia that are going around all across the world and talking about Bitcoin, the more onboarding we have. And that's really important. Like at the end of the day, you sit back, you don't have to let I'm not talking about her. I in this aspect, I'm probably talking about me. You don't got to like got to like the person at all. But there are people that go out there and onboard a lot of people into the crypto space. And we'll be right back. By the way, I'm doing I am definitely doing a new Cake Wallet commercial. Okay. I I am tired of watching myself look like a vampire. But here you go. Commercials on. We'll be back and we're going to talk more about AI and how I feel like it's accelerating and the guardrails, there are none. I I don't feel like there are guardrails here. Even though they say there are, I don't believe there are. We'll be right back after this commercial break. [Commercial] [08:09] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh, wait. I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to sharing the value it creates. For maybe, it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating, and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So, why hasn't it happened yet? We're still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix. It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we build Midnight to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. [Commercial] [09:29] Ladies and gentlemen, we all know this in crypto. Ownership matters. That's why Cake Wallet. [Commercial] [10:13] This is Houston. T-minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. Is that guy on FOMO? Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. This. For now, the crisis appears to be over. Opportunity cost is simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. This. For now, the crisis appears to be over. [David] [11:57] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets is a better to move money at the speed of light. People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I'm here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [David] [12:27] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets is a better to move money at the speed of light. People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I'm here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [David] [12:57] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets is a better to move money at the speed of light. People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I'm here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [David] [13:25] Welcome back to the show. We have Leia on here from Cake Wallet. That's right. Uh and we are back. Uh again, we have been uh apparently whatever me and Leia were saying, we got restricted on TikTok. Uh as soon as as soon as I said that, I I you know what? I'm the idiot. I'm absolutely the abs I am an idiot for saying it out loud because then, I don't know, the haters went and apparently probably reported it or whatever. Um but We are on TikTok as well. We have people out there uh chatting it up. We're on YouTube. Obviously, YouTube is home. We're on Kick though. We're on X as well. Uh I find it funny. The people on X that are watching the show, instead of uh commenting within the live show, they comment outside the live show. So, shout out to you guys. This is the one thing that uh I believe Well, I don't know. I don't know if uh Twitter X formerly known as Twitter should fix it. Because it it kind of is a good thing too because if people are talking about things that you're talking about on the show, then they're posting it out there and people seeing are seeing their posts. And then they see right now X went ahead and upgraded uh upgraded their uh application to it when you go live, people can see a live symbol around your name. So, so maybe it is a good thing. I I don't know. I would think I would want everybody having the conversation in here, not outside of it, but it is what it is. To each his own. By the way, we are on Apple Podcast. We are on Spotify, iHeartRadio, and also Amazon Music. Also, uh I am now going back onto mainstream media. So, That is cool. Um I've had like this for a while now, I've had this no clause that I would not go back onto mainstream media, but now I said, okay. So, I'm going back on and we'll talk about Bitcoin because that's what they'll bringing me on for, digital assets. And we'll talk about AI, which I wanted to touch on AI and and talk about how I think there are no guardrails for AI. AI By the way, I think AI and crypto will work together. Charles had this conversation where when when he was on the show, Charles did say, you know, uh we grabbed away crypto and we made it better and we made it our own and uh we should do the same thing with AI. And I do really see AI and crypto working together. Uh I I do see it happening and you already have protocols that are building towards that. I mean, Midnight. Okay. Midnight is building towards that. Um you have again, you have a lot of protocols that are building towards the integration of AI with cryptocurrency because it's an it's it's necessary. You you have to. It goes hand in hand at the end of the day. So, um but I do feel with super intelligence or AI, whatever we're calling it now, AI, super intelligence, uh that we have to kind of look at this and sit back and look at look at everything that's happening. Like I I don't I really don't believe if people are calling me crazy, but I really don't believe one person on the timeline today said that I'm overreacting, but have you seen the Matrix? The machines get so smart that, you know, there's a battle between the machines and humans. And for the only the only way that the that the humans thought that they could stop the machines was by, you know, what was it? Stunning a nuke. I think it was something like a nuclear bomb to essentially just bring full darkness. So there's no energy, no sun no energy coming from the sun to provide the machines energy. So the energy so the machines started growing human beings. Guys, if you watch the Matrix, you know what I'm fucking talking about, okay? And this reminds me of like this reminds me of the Matrix. At some point, the machines are going to get smart. And they're going to grow a conscience and well and and that's it. So when I hear like there are guardrails, like what guardrails? You I mean, we've had numerous reports already that AI agents have escaped the box. So where are the guardrails? If they're already escaping the box now and AI is not or I I I guess we're still calling it super intelligence, but if it's not even there yet and it's doing these things, what do you think happens in three to four years? I'm just putting it out there. What do you think happens? It's a scary thought. And then you look at you look at crypto, right? You look at crypto. And crypto has been hacked, you know, crypto has been hacked and protocols have been hacked. You you you still have people getting hacked. Now put a advanced AI or super intelligence AGI into the picture. What happens now? The whole, you know, we have control of this. That's what that's what they said about, you know, in the Terminator movies, man. We have control of all this. Like I don't know, man. Look, I AI it from one standpoint. You know what's funny? We if if we want to think a little bit deeper about AI, we have created something. We have created something that could ultimately destroy us. I want y'all to think about that for a second. We have created something that could ultimately come back to destroy us. It's all good and dandy now, but we have for the first time that can ultimately come back to destroy all of us or enslave us. Think I want y'all to think Hold on, this is not tinfoil hat shit. Think about this. We've made machines work for us for a really long time. AI is going to return the favor. I think about what I'm saying and I I know you're going to say tinfoil hat, Dave. You what are you saying? This is crazy. Think about this. We have used machines for a really long time to do our work. One day the machines are going to turn around and say, it's our turn. Now, pretty much this is what I think though. We're going to be pretty useless. Because if if you have a society now that's dependent on AI for to to learn or to count, okay, mathematics, like to write, like people don't even know how to write no more. It's all AI, right? So if if people are so dependent on AI now, what are we going to the only thing that we will have to offer to AGI or super intelligence, whatever you want to call it, is manual labor. That's it. We're only going to be be able to offer manual labor. To to the to the machine race. I'm telling you, man, I I am telling you, I am telling you, one day somebody's going to replay this tape and say, yo, DG, I'm sorry for speaking in the third person, but DG was right. Somebody's going to say it. Meanwhile, all the elites, they'll be on another planet where the machines really don't affect them. And they have some sort of control. Or they're in a controlled environment. What was that movie? You know what it remind What was that movie? Um with Matt Damon. What was that movie with Matt Damon? What was that movie with Matt Damon? There was a movie with Matt Damon where there was a it was kind of like the humans work it was kind of like the I think the humans worked for for um for the machines and shit like that. I forgot. What was the name? But the Matrix is the one, yeah, there is that is that it? Is that it? I I think that is the closest thing. Or again, I go back to the Matrix. I really go back to the Matrix. And I can see the Matrix happening too. Where I can see the Matrix happening because the human race will be so dumbed down. The current human race will be so dumbed down that they will create human beings and they will program them. Like like y'all got to watch the Matrix, okay? If you never seen the Matrix, that's a documentary, that's not a movie. This is not an Andrew Tate rant, by the way. This is not about the Matrix got me got me in a whole No, no. I'm talking about the real Matrix that's coming. I'm really talking about the real Matrix. Anyway, welcome to the breakdown episode 796. Four away from 800. 800 episodes of dressing up in a suit, coming here live to you on this camera, on this mic and talking about everything from crypto to AI, to politics, to everything trending in the world today at 1:45 p.m. ET. We will have Rob Nelson from the Rob Nelson Live show join me for 15 to 20 minutes to talk about some political issues that are happening in the world today. This show is sponsored by Midnight. Midnight, which I've been talking about and yelling about for the longest time, which I've been talking about Midnight and night way before the sponsorship. I'd like to make sure I'm very clear on that because you can look back at my posts and my and my shows and you can see I said, Midnight, I'm not going to fade it. Everything that Charles has worked on has won. No matter I don't care if you like him or not. Charles is my friend and at the end of the day, he's very blunt, so that can probably turn you off, but at the I like people that don't speak PC because I'm that way also. Okay, I'm blunt as fuck and so is he. And hearing him talk about Midnight, hearing him talk about Midnight was big and huge. Y'all miss Zcash, right? And I talked about Zcash. Go ahead, run it up. Back in 18, 19, talking about Zcash. Y'all nobody you know what? You shouldn't listen to me anyway. I'm not a financial advisor, but I was out here yelling, yo, privacy protocols are big. And that was not the only one that I talked about either. When I seen what Zcash was going to do, if you miss Zcash, Midnight is staring you in the face.
[Part 5 of 7] [David] [00:00] except midnight takes it to another level with the privacy smart contracts and more. [David] [00:12] The midnight team is working nonstop. [David] [00:18] Let me show y'all something. [David] [00:21] Here's midnight. I when midnight got when when the uh Wan chain bridge got hacked, midnight went to one cent and I said, this is a perfect buying opportunity. I saw it as a buying opportunity. Okay? [David] [00:39] Let me go ahead and show you where midnight is right now. [David] [00:44] Here's midnight. [David] [00:47] Midnight was at 5 cents already. [David] [00:50] It is up 21%. It was up when the market was down. [David] [00:56] If you compare midnight versus Zcash right now. [David] [01:02] Let's go to that. By the way, I am using G me excuse me, a G media product, but this is Gmarkets.io. [David] [01:11] If midnight were to hit the current market cap of Zcash, it would be at a dollar 39. [David] [01:27] That means a $1,000 investment at this current point would turn out to be $28,610. A $10,000 investment would turn out to be $286,107. A $100,000 investment would be 2.8 million. [David] [01:50] It is not rocket science to identify great protocols. I'm going to say this again. It is not rocket science to identify really good protocols. [David] [02:03] Gmarkets.io, if you go on to Gmarkets.io, you can educate yourself on all the protocols that we have in this space. And you can front run the markets if you choose to. [David] [02:17] So there's two things you can do. One, you can participate in all the bullshit. [David] [02:23] Or you can front run the markets. [David] [02:32] And that's bottom line. [David] [02:38] That is bottom line. [David] [02:41] It's nice to see. Also, let's look at what's going on in the markets. [David] [02:46] Let's go ahead and look at what's going on in the markets. A $3 trillion market total market cap for their entire space. We're down on Bitcoin right now, 84,638. Uh Ethereum is at 2682. I think Landy sold off just to go ahead and spite me because I said, look what's what happened with Bitcoin might go to 100k. Landy didn't like that, so Landy decided, you know what? I'm going to make sure that I sell my Bitcoin. Uh, what do we also have here? XRP is at a $1.50. We got Solana at 119. [David] [03:24] 119 Solana. BNB is at 771. Ethereum 20 uh 681. Let's look at the heat map. Everything's down right now. Bitcoin Bitcoin's kind of even, let's say. Ethereum is as well. XRP also, BNB as well. [David] [03:42] Solana is almost up 1%. Hype is up 1.1%. Litecoin is up almost 4%. [David] [03:51] So things that there are things moving. Ave is up and people are sleeping on Ave. Ave is up almost 8%. [David] [04:01] Ladies and gentlemen, we we are approaching a time of winning. [David] [04:09] We are approaching a time of winning. Make sure that you are positioned to win. [David] [04:16] This is a time to position yourself to win and win big. [David] [04:24] Again, I'm not a financial advisor. I'm a market participant and I just happen to analyze the markets every single day. All I can say is, [David] [04:35] if and I believe this will be the biggest bull run of all time. And I didn't say that, I don't believe I said that last time. I don't believe I said that last time. This time around though. [David] [04:50] This time around. I truly believe that this will be a bull run bigger than 2021. [David] [05:03] Your job and and it's the time is almost up. Your job right now in the next 30 to 60 days, I'll give you 30 to 90 days. Even though I don't believe 90 days, I think 30 to 60 days. Your job is to find some of the dopest and most oversold and underappreciated assets in this space and get ahead of everybody else. [David] [05:34] I believe the institutions are already going into the market. They're already sizing up. They're slowly adding to their positions. I believe multi-million dollar retail is slowly coming in. They're asking questions about Bitcoin. They're accumulating. [David] [05:52] If there's a time or if there is time left, it is now. Do not sleep. [David] [06:00] Okay? Do not sleep on this. [David] [06:04] Because once the bull market starts, once the bull market starts, I'm going to tell you this right now. Once the bull market starts, and you can rewind the tapes on this. When the bull market starts, more people lose in a bull market than they lose in the bear market. Let me understand let me explain to you why more people lose in a bull market than in a bear. In a bear market, there is opportunity. In a bear market, it's full of red and people are scared to get into any position, okay? People are like, crypto's done, right? How many times have we heard Bitcoin's dead, crypto's done? [David] [06:45] Crypto's cooked, right? The news loves to run with it. [David] [06:49] The smartest people in the game, once they hear that, they're like, I'm buying and and this is gone on through decades upon decades in the traditional markets. The time for the most wealthiest people to buy the market is in the red. Warren Buffett sold in the green, bought back in the red. Go look at it. If you got AI and you're too lazy to go ahead and do the research yourself, go use AI, go on Grock, go on ChatGPT, go on whatever Claude Anthro, use whatever model you want. [David] [07:32] You had Warren Buffett. Nobody talks about this. Warren Buffett pretty much called the top on the markets, sold at peak, and now the company buys back in. [David] [07:48] You got to follow you got to follow the real money. [David] [07:55] You don't have to have a trillion dollars to play with, but you can follow the trillions of dollars and where they're going. [David] [08:04] It's what I always say. Surround yourself with millionaires, you become a millionaire. Surround yourself with billionaires, you become a billionaire. It's the same analogy, follow the money. [David] [08:16] Big money ain't scared money when it's red season, bear season, bear markets. They're not scared. They go in. [David] [08:26] In a green market, why did I say, and this is where I land, why did I say that most people lose in a green market? It's because there's green candles popping all over the place and it's confusion. And it becomes emotional and confusion and you're buying tops while people are selling on you. And it's not that they're rugging or selling on top of your forehead, they're taking profits in the green, they're taking profits in volume. While you're going into that volume, and then you become the community member. [David] [09:01] So you don't got to listen to me, you don't got to watch this show. You can tune me out. You can say he doesn't deliver value. I've been through multiple cycles. I've seen all of it. I've experienced it. I've learned from them. [David] [09:14] I probably learned more from the crypto ecosystem than I learned from traditional markets. [David] [09:22] So at the end of the day, if you are not using your 30 to 60 days to put together a perfect strategy to not chase when the green comes, when the bull market comes. And the bull market goes like this. It's not like the bear market. The bear market is slow and and and and it's a grind. When when you're in a green market, it flies by. It flies by and you better make sure that you are already positioned before before the shit takes off. Anyway, welcome to the breakdown. Thank you for everybody for tuning in from TikTok to YouTube to X. Definitely appreciate it. [David] [10:07] We have Rob Nelson here and I'm going to go ahead and talk about I think he's here. Let's see if he's here. Uh we have Rob Nelson here. Rob Nelson live airs on the Goshi Media Network. He's on here Mondays and Wednesdays. Though I don't think I saw him here Monday or Wednesday, but we'll bring him in when he's ready because I don't see him in the I don't see him in the I only see black in the green screen. I don't see him, so when he pops up, I will bring him here and we'll talk a little bit about politics here. Um, but I am telling you, [David] [10:47] the losses come in the green. [David] [10:50] The losses come also because people hold on to their assets in the green and they're looking for higher. [David] [11:01] They're looking for higher and they don't pull profit and they ride the whole thing down. You've had people with multiple cycles that have done the same shit over and over and that is round trip. They have round tripped assets because they're unwilling to pull out. [David] [11:20] And I keep saying this. A lot of people have not made more than $50,000 in a year. Some people have never made $50,000 in their life. And now they're in profit, and I'm talking about they're looking at $200, $300,000 in profit. And they won't even pull out $50,000 to reward themselves for the work that they've done. No, the greed kicks in and they continue to push. They they tried to they're trying to catch the top. [David] [11:54] And that's where it all goes wrong. [David] [11:58] You trying to catch the top or bottom is the worst thing you can do. [David] [12:04] I play conservatively. I'm not trying to catch the top, nor the bottom. [David] [12:12] As soon as I feel in my gut that I'm looking at my wallet way too much or I'm about to take a screenshot, I'm done. I'm out. And if I'm getting way too excited, maybe it's time to take profit. [David] [12:26] And that's how I kind of play it. I have listen, I got my own strategy. You guys have your own strategy. There's a ton of people with a ton of value out here that you can go ahead and tune into and listen to. But I'm telling you, man, 30 to 60 days away away from the bull run or or at least the charts flipping bullish. [David] [12:47] Let's bring in Rob Nelson. I think he's ready now to come on to the show. Rob Nelson joins me now. Rob, how's it going? Nice to see you again. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [12:55] Good, man. How are you? [David] [12:57] I'm I'm doing well. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [12:58] Always happy to be here. [David] [13:00] Where are you at? The White House? What what am I looking at right now? [Guest: Rob Nelson] [13:04] You're looking at um America House. [David] [13:08] The America House. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [13:11] A a content house, an inter house for politics. [David] [13:17] Nice. Nice. God bless America. Love the flag. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [13:21] I'm coming through clear on my slow. [David] [13:22] You're slow. So I don't know if you need to reset your connection and maybe come back because you're you look like you're slow dancing on the breakdown right now. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [13:34] And I think the breakdown has a thing for me. I think it's trying to slow me down. I'm going to come in on my phone. [David] [13:39] No, but let's let's go ahead and do that. Let me take you. Oh my God. Always a problem with you, Rob. Always a problem. Let's bring you in, Rob. Can you go ahead and landscape mode it? I don't want I don't want to see your chin. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [13:55] I'm in. [David] [13:57] Yeah. And shut down your other audio because I hear myself. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [14:06] Yeah, I'm turning it off, man, to be here for you. [David] [14:09] Yeah. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [14:11] It's crazy though. Your whole thing, David, has a thing for me. Restream has a thing for me. [David] [14:16] I'm going to put you back in I'm going to put you in the backstage right now. We'll wait until Rob Nelson learns how to use uh technology. This is what I mean. When I talk about AI and how AI is going to take over, the machines are going to take over. This is what I mean. We're going to be left. You you see how Rob is trying to put together his camera. He's trying he's trying to get things to work. This is what I meant by the machines will no longer need us. [David] [14:48] The machines will say, you know what? This it is time for us to create our own human beings in our likeness. [David] [15:01] Rob Nelson, you would think Rob Nelson would be prepared to come on one of the greatest shows on the planet. But no. [David] [15:11] No. So I'll wait until Rob is ready though. Uh to go ahead and come on. Uh on a network that actually works, that actually moves at the same pace as his mouth. And then we will go ahead and have a conversation about what is happening with the midterms. What will happen with the midterms? Because looking at Polymarket here, let's go ahead and pull up Polymarket. Polymarket is the official prediction market sponsor of the breakdown. And by the way, if you sign up to Polymarket, use the code breakdown. Use the code breakdown. When you sign up. [David] [15:51] Use the code breakdown. [David] [15:53] Let's go ahead and break down this, the politic uh the politics part here. Let's go ahead and break this down. [David] [16:00] Here we go. [David] [16:02] Let's go ahead and look at the political landscape. [David] [16:08] People are laughing. All all the channels, I got people laughing. This is funny. All right, so the midterms, balance of power 2026 midterms. [David] [16:19] Right now, Polymarket has it that the Democrats sweep it. 64% Democrats sweep both the Senate and House. [David] [16:30] And I blame and I blame the Republican Party for this. [David] [16:37] Because there is no way that the Democrats should be taking the House and the Senate. [David] [16:44] But this is what happens when Trump is trying to push forward an agenda and then you have people like Senator Thune who him and his buddies, [David] [16:56] the Republican side are not doing anything. Filibuster, no. [David] [17:02] Things that can that can benefit the American people and keep the American people safe, no. [David] [17:10] Crazy. [David] [17:14] So we have that the balance of power there. Also, what we have. [David] [17:19] Right now, for the presidential election winner of 2028. [David] [17:26] JD Vance, 21%. [David] [17:30] AOC, 13%. [David] [17:33] So JD Vance is in the lead to be the next president of the United States of America. And I believe it will either be JD Vance or Marco Rubio that will be the next president of the United States of America. [David] [17:52] Again, the stats are provided by Polymarket. If you're signing up to Polymarket, use the breakdown as the code when signing up and we will have a link moving forward. Hopefully by next week, that will allow you to click the link and sign up using the code the breakdown. Okay? There you go. Polymarket. Shout out to Polymarket. Now, let's try this again. Will Rob be able to come on? Let's try it one more time. Rob Nelson is on. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [18:25] It's the it's the great question of all time. Will I be able to come on? It is the great question of all time. How are you, man? [David] [18:34] Rob Nelson, you're still lagging. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [18:36] I can't be lagging now. I'm now on my beautiful iPhone. There should be no lagging left on my stream. [David] [18:40] No, no, you are. You you are lagging like you're talking and then the words are coming afterwards. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [18:48] No, not on my end. [David] [18:50] Okay, now it's a little bit better. I will try to work this because I'm a true professional, okay? I'm a true professional. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [18:58] Yeah. [David] [18:59] All right, that hosts a program every single day and does not miss a program. Okay, so let's let's [Guest: Rob Nelson] [19:00] I host. Listen. I host. [David] [19:05] you miss you miss my show sometimes, but I understand. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [19:08] Well, you didn't have a show on Wednesday, so let's not even talk about that. [David] [19:10] I didn't. I didn't. But but every Wednesday. All right. There's no don't talk about missing shows. Anyway, Rob Nelson live, everybody, the host of Rob Nelson live. Rob Nelson, Rob, so you are out in DC. What's happening out there? What do you what do you what are you hearing from from uh from I guess the political influencers and also from anybody uh obviously in Congress. I don't know if you happen to speak to anybody uh that's out there, any politicians. But what what what are you hearing? What what's the gauge out there when it comes to uh the midterms? What what are people feeling right now? [Guest: Rob Nelson] [19:44] So I think a couple things are happening. One, and you know, where I'm at in this house, America House, which is, you know, think of a hype house, a content house that we launched for politics to make politics cool, sexy, like old school, like MTV Rock the Vote. Um, the independent political convention was last week. Um, I think there's two there's a couple things happening. There's an increasingly broader path of people who are not who are aligning outside the Democrats and the Republicans. And that's actually not insignificant. There's a couple Senate races where independents have a real shot. Alaska would be one of them, Montana, um, where truly in candidates running with an I, um, who don't identify as, you know, left Democrat or Republican, not not necessarily left or right, are making inroads. I would say inside Washington, whenever you're in DC, you're always in a state of kind of a it's like being in Hollywood. It's like it's detached from reality. Um, it's almost the worst place to get a barometer of what people think because Democrats think they're doing great and Republicans think they're doing great. And it's almost like you're looking at a bunch of drunks and going, none of you really have a clue of what's going on. I would say it's funny. People go like inside your question, inside Washington, what does it look like? It looks like you're in a bubble. Looks like you're in a bubble where both sides have completely distorted views of reality. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [21:07] Now, I think if you step back from that bubble just a little bit, I I think it's almost and I've said this for the last few months with you, with Landy. I mean, the Democrats, the Republicans are going to get whacked. Um, and the, you know, notion that the polls don't show that, that we didn't, you know, read the, you know, the the cross tabs, there's Landy likes to say. I mean, Republicans are going to get hammered in the house. And I think they're at risk of losing the Senate, which should be impossible given in both cases, the numbers lean toward the Republicans, the the the way the districts are cut up, the way that the races that are up for in the Senate. They should not they should lose a little. I don't think they'll lose a lot in the Senate, but I think there's a good chance they lose control. The house is gone. And I disagree with you on one thing. This is not because Donald Trump's got an agenda and the rest of the country doesn't want to get on board. I mean, you know, we joke. You think I have Trump derangement syndrome. I think you have Trump derangement syndrome. [David] [22:08] I didn't say that. I said that the [Guest: Rob Nelson] [22:10] I thought that's what you said. I'm I'm on bad audio. [David] [22:12] No, I I didn't say that the country doesn't want to get on board. I I said that the current uh the current politicians in office. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [22:20] Oh, oh, oh, you got it. Like like the Republicans. [David] [22:21] The Republican Party. The Republican Party led by Senator Thune and and others, they're to me, they're purposely not pushing any of the stuff that Trump wants pushed uh forward. And and also, look, the filibuster, the the Republicans refuse to use it. And that's something that the Democrats will use. So it's [Guest: Rob Nelson] [22:38] Yes, yes, I agree with you. I agree with you. [David] [22:43] So Trump's sitting there like, you know, he's trying everything possible. He's trying to push his agenda. The administration is, but you know, you have senators from the Republican side and and and and even you could talk about even representatives that are not playing ball. [Guest: Rob Nelson] [22:57] Let me let me tell you what happened here. And yes, I I I understand now what you're saying. Um, I think there's two factors. And I think this is important. I mean, I think Trump has to Trump Trump doesn't ever like to take responsibility for anything. This is his own doing. The Republican Party's always had a precarious relationship with him. He's an outsider, he's a disruptor. Um, I agree with you. I think they are intentionally pretending to like be what, yes, Mr. President, we love it and not doing it. There's two reasons they're doing that. One, they are super aware that within their own districts, these are all politicians who want to get reelected. Trump is not popular and a lot of what he's doing isn't popular. And most importantly, the way he's communicating is not popular. We got a really bad taste in our mouths during Biden of the whatever you see isn't real and whatever I'm doing is great, um, meal. And Trump's doing that. What you see, what you feel, not real. What I'm doing, everything's great. All over. The war in Iran's be be quick and wrapped up for the last seven months every week. It's almost done. It's going to be over. It's going to be done and we're winning and and they're on they're at their feet and we're being nice and we're going to bomb them to hell, but we don't have to. People don't like it. People don't like the economy's best it's ever been. Oil prices are not as high as you think. That said, um, they also are aware that you say one thing against Donald Trump, you resist one policy and he goes nuclear on you. He goes Iran nuclear. He wipes you out. He decimates you. He will go after your career. He'll primary you. So they're aware, they're making a calculation, David. They're going, huh, if I go along with the president, but if I do one misstep, he will come after me and he will try to destroy my political career. So I'm going to play it safe. I'm going to play I'm not going to call him out. Thune's not going to call him out. He's going to say, yeah, yeah, no, we're on board. [David] [24:52] But [Guest: Rob Nelson] [24:52] But they're not they're not thinking it, but they're not about to challenge him outwardly because they're aware he'll get him and they don't think it's worth it. MTG, Marjorie Taylor Green was a perfect example. Like the most loyal ally went against him on one thing she'd been principled about, the Epstein files, and he called her a traitor, decimated her, said she was a loser. She didn't have a career she wanted to continue, I don't think, but he's a governor or whatever. But that was a I think that was a lightning rod. Washington is a very bubbly city. They look, they're like, wow, you piss him off the littlest bit and he doesn't care how loyal you've been. He will cut your fucking head off. And that does not work well in Washington. Now, I'm not a fan of the system, so I don't care. Take them all out. I want them all gone, you know, all 535 of them. [David] [25:37] I I want to say that they weren't willing to work with Trump as soon as he got in because Trump was on fire. I keep saying this. When Trump came into office, even before he came into office, he was just on fire and he was getting things done and getting things done. And then again, we we we stop right at we we have to put a stop to it when the whole Iran situation started happening. And that's when but they still weren't doing anything. Like it it was still like pulling teeth to get things done. Thune with I mean, we're talking about
[Part 6 of 7] [00:00] a voter ID. I mean, the easiest topic, Democrats or Republican, it doesn't matter what side you're on. If you're not an American citizen, you should have no right to vote in the elections. We have a problem here on both sides where the bill ain't going to get passed. So we're going to have and and it's already been found where there are illegal migrants or alien, whatever you want to call them, on on the on the rosters. And and that's a major problem when you have you need an ID to go to the library, you need an ID to get into a casino, you need an ID to go ahead and rent a hotel, right? When you book a hotel, you need an ID, right? You need ID for everything, but we don't need ID when it comes to the biggest elections in America. It's that that is Yeah. I don't care what who you are, you have to acknowledge that is wild. [00:56] Right. Well, here's what's not wild. It's not wild when you realize, and I know you're you've got an R by your name, you know, and I and and you know, talk to me Taylor and I recently had a chance here at America House, we'd set it up so that uh Governor uh candidate Steve Hilton could join us for a conversation. He's running for governor of California and he's running as a Republican. And and and I love Steve Hilton. I think he's I think he's I don't think he'll win, but I think he's a great candidate. Um, he said, I'm I'm I'm going with the R because I can't win in California. I'd never get through the the you know, the rank voting as with an I by my name. But he's like, truthfully, I'm Republican more than Democrat, but he's like, I'm not either one. He's like, I'm not like a crazy, I'm not all for Trump no matter what. He's like, I I I I'm an independent in the true sense of the word, and I want everyone's vote, and I'm running on the idea of like, the way it's working isn't working. And that's what I would say about the current system when it comes to the Rs and the Ds, even in Washington. You make a point like, who would be against voter ID? Like, I mean, it's it's the I mean, it's it's it's so so it's like, it's sort of like the whole thing of like trans sports, biological men and women sports. Like, it's sort of obvious. Like, men can't have babies. I can't say that. Maybe they can. Like, you got you shouldn't have to have an ID to vote. But you should you have to have an ID to do literally just about I have an ID to go I have an ID to buy cigarettes in Tennessee. Like, I don't have to have an ID to vote. Okay, sure. I need an ID to get into certain like social events, like concerts or whatever. Um, but the reason is, David, neither party wants to disrupt anything that has to do with the fundamental orchestration of how the system works, which is counterintuitive. You think, why wouldn't Republicans be all on board voter ID? But because it's a disruption to the political norm. They want the status quo. Neither party truly wants to expand voter access. They want to maintain control, gerrymander, control their districts, their their voting blocks. Neither one. Democrats aren't interested in expanding the vote. They're interested in getting more black poor voters to be able to get to the polls easier. If all of a sudden you saw a wave of black poor voters in urban areas voting Republican, Democrats would be all against voter expansion. They'd be like, shut that shit down. Neither party wants to mess with the system. Neither one. I saw it firsthand. It's been that way for 40 years. [03:30] They want to keep things the way they are. It's all a pretend. [03:33] So it's what I said already, is that they meet the Democrats and the Republicans, the old school ones, they they meet in special chambers drinking whiskey and they're like, don't worry, I got you. And the other one says, I got you also. Don't worry about it. But we'll bicker. We'll bicker in public. We'll make it look like we don't like each other. But they're in the chambers discussing things over a fine glass of whiskey. That that that's how I picture the whole thing happening. And that's why we need we need new politicians. We need a we need new blood to come in and and to fix and to fix the system because I think the system is broken within. Not outside, but within. And that's from a Democrat and Republican. You know, you say that I have a R next to me and and that's right. You know, I am a Republican, but I am sensible where I can go ahead and I I feel I I can call it for how it is. And I really do feel that we need new blood. We need people that are willing to go ahead and work work for the American people and not just pretend that they're doing something. Yeah, I listen, I I know. I you know what? You know what trend I started? Nobody wore suits. Nobody wore suits. Nobody wore suits on independent media. I started wearing suits, everybody started wearing suits in crypto and in independent media, people started to wear a suit. No problem. Congratulations. Love to see it. Okay? I started I put the flag in the back of the studio. What happens now? Everybody wants to have the American flag. And you know what? God bless America. Love seeing it. I love seeing it. [04:38] I want that flag in you. [05:12] You know, you know. [05:14] I'm in I'm in a room draped with flags. Look at this. Look at all the flags. I got this big flag here too. Look at this guy. See, this is inspired by you for me. [05:22] Check that flag out. Check that flag out. Look at that. I get put that right there. [05:25] That looks like the [05:27] That looks like the flag. [05:29] I sit back in my flag. How about that? [05:31] That looks like the flag. Okay, you're a little bit crooked. [05:34] Look, I can almost I can almost make it look like your thing. Look at that. It's almost there. [05:38] Okay, so I could see that they they put they they went ahead and built a special bed for you. Uh and that's cool. [05:45] Yeah, that's my kind of my flag my flag. [05:48] It looks like you're in Trump's house with all the golden. [05:50] Yeah, kind of with the gold. I know. This is America House. It's an independent content house for creators to like make you can come on. I keep inviting you on to make politics really cool. [05:59] You see, if I if I was in that location right now, the aura that there were that you would have on the camera, like the aura, that the the oozing of aura would be absolutely ridiculous. But anyway, [06:11] Cuz you're not cuz you're like in a closet with a big flag behind you. [06:15] Yeah, of course, I'm in the closet. I'm in the closet. [06:18] Entire entire big flag. [06:19] Don't tell nobody I'm in the closet. [06:21] Wait, can we talk about so I think the midterms is all we're going to talk about. First, I want to I want to say, we're not we're not this is such an I I've been around this so many times. We are this is such a broken cycle. We are going to hit the midterms in a few weeks. We're going to clean up the mess. We're going to see. I mean, again, I don't know if it's a I don't know that it's a like blue wave, but Democrats win. [06:46] Well, let me interrupt you real quick. We'll we'll I want to say this. Landy made a point though, while I was well, I don't want to say arguing, debating him on this topic. He makes a point that if you think about it, well, if the Democrats do win, right? Well, what's the difference? It's not like the for me, it's like the Republican Party didn't move shit anyway. So, having the it's going to be the same thing. It's no different except that [07:13] Well, one difference. [07:15] Well, they'll shut down the government and start impeaching Trump. [07:17] Exactly. That's the difference. [07:19] That's it. That's the only difference. And we're going to waste we'll waste time. So we're going to waste tax dollars on Trump being the four-time impeached president or whatever it is. But he ain't going to leave. So it's like it it is the craziest thing. But here's my here's my thing to you, Rob. So, I also think that at this point in time, I'm thinking that the Democrats, which is really weird because you look, Texas is voting for a for a Democrat. But Ken Paxton didn't do himself any favors with his leaked audio either about, you know, disrespecting Trump and stuff. So, you're seeing some red states go blue. And and Texas is going blue. I mean, that's the what since what is it? 1988 or some shit like that? Since they So, to me, it's like this is this is this is crazy. This is you're witnessing But it's DSA candidates though. [07:34] So that's what'll happen. [08:21] That's what's crazy. [08:23] That that's what's mind-boggling. [08:23] But I've said this. I've said this before. I've said it to you. I've said it to Landy. I'll say it to anyone who listens. People aren't voting for the candidates because they're DSA candidates. You said to some people are, but if you said to people, the reason these candidates are getting leverage. If you said, so you're a socialist, you like socialists. They'd be like, no. I mean, some people would say yes, the extreme camp. They'd say no. I like that this person is saying A B C D and E. I like that this person is focused on they're not they're not inside the broken Democratic Party, and they're not inside the Republican Party, which I hate. They're inside they're they're doing something different. They're offering a fresh take. They're offering a solution. They're saying they're going to deal with my actual problems, and they're not, most importantly, they're not seen as bought into the party system because even Democrats voters are smart enough to look and go, our our our party and our leadership keep promising us the same shit and keep not delivering. So while we hate the Republicans for Democrats, we find the Democratic Party almost like just almost as bad as you said. It's like they sit behind a closed door. I'll take care of you, you take care of me. So the DSA candidates smartly position themselves as not just like another part of the Democratic Party. They're like an outside force saying, our own party sucks. Republicans suck the most, but our own party sucks. And people are like, great, an alternative that's offering to address the things I want. Now, will they succeed in addressing those things? Unlikely. Are their solutions great solutions? In general, not. But that's how bad it is. That's how frustrated people are and tired they are of the same old bullshit being told to them over and over. So yes, we may see a DSA leaning candidate win in any number of places where you would be surprised to see anybody who wasn't, you know, red as the flag behind both of us. [10:18] Wild to watch. That's all I can say, wild to watch. Um, what else is uh, you know, I I kind of uh I wanted to talk about it. The Yankees win. I think that's good for America. Nobody who who wants the the Red Sox to do anything. Yankees winning, it just continues this vibe of, you know, you had uh, you know, the Knicks win the championship. Yankees move on, beat the uh the hated Red Sox, at least from my standpoint. If they win the championship, the Rangers, you know, uh Igor Shesterkin, he scored a goal, first goalie to score a goal in Rangers history. Phenomenal. They're off to a good start also. The Giants are two and one. Okay. New York's about to become a championship city, baby. That's what we're talking about. We're we're coming we're bringing it back. We got some old school coaches. You got you got Sullivan coach who's a Stanley Cup champion with the Pittsburgh uh Penguins. He's coaching the Rangers. You got listen, you got Harbs coaching the Giants. Tough football, smash mouth football. And and they're doing this with the [11:30] All right. I I I I I I can [11:32] Hey, hold on. Don't stop me now. I'm on a roll. [11:36] Stop me now. I know you're going to you're on you're on the New York fucking bandwagon. I'll give you credit. [11:41] Nobody cares. Nobody cares about nobody cares about Green Bay. [11:46] Nobody cares about you green your cheese sticks and nobody cares about your cheese. Okay? [11:55] I'm going to be the first to say, I'm not going to do what and I think sports is a perfect example. You know, every team, no matter how far down they are, till they are mathematically eliminated, insists that they're that that it's fine and they're just had to make some adjustments, you know? Just like politicians, you know? They never say, oh, we're fucked. They're always like, nope, we're going to win right up to the day of the of election. And I will say my Packers are in trouble. I am not living in denial. Something is wrong inside, you know, the house that Lambo built. And and I don't know what it is, but it's not good. We got an incredibly great quarterback. We have a solid O line. Good enough for I mean, we should not be where we are. We should not be one and two and almost O and three. Like, [12:49] But but it can change. You know, it [12:51] It can change, but again, you know, yes, it can change. And that's what I'm saying, every team always says it's going to change, but it's like, does it really change? Politics, sports, very similar. Yeah. You know, and that's my point. You're not going to ever hear the Republicans say right now, we're in trouble. The best thing they could do would come out and own it. You know, maybe, you know, and for some people that would be like, time for a management change, time for a new coach. But, you know, you're right about what's going to happen after the midterms. It's going to be just a lockdown, same same problems, no solutions, no change, impeach Trump, filibuster will get put in place. We'll go around in circles and more candidates. Now, the good news is, more independent candidates will have a shot moving forward. This is going to create an opening for for what I'm talking about, like the stuff here at America House, you know, the the independent political convention, which most people don't know about, but there are. I'm telling you, watch Alaska. Watch Alaska. Watch Montana. I won't shock me if the independent candidates get super close to winning if not taking it. [13:50] I I just, you know, um, but yeah, I know you want to talk about your New York Giants and your New York Yankees. [13:53] No, no, no, no, because like, And by the way, before you go off on it, let's acknowledge the Brewers haven't played yet, but this may be our year. This may be the year we go past the Dodgers, make it to the World Series, and if the Yankees are there, we crush the Yankees. Brewers crush the Yankees if we play you. [14:10] All right, good luck. Uh, I was going to say that uh, I don't know if I had the conversation with you, but I did have the conversation with Landy and and I stated that at, you know, when Vance came out, I think it was a two weeks ago and he he essentially asked the American people to give them another chance. You know, I I felt like that was coming from uh from a point of weakness and because I've never seen JD Vance like that. JD Vance is always, you know, really good at answering questions, always really well spoken when speaking to reporters, even if the reporters aren't on the Republican side, he'll go on to any network. And here he is on the All In podcast and he's essentially asking people just let give us another chance, let us finish the job. [14:55] He should be. He should be. [14:56] No, but he but the way he's saying it, it's almost like people interpret it as, you know, hey, we messed up. Or or I feel like the Democrats can use it. No, but hold on. But hold on, hold on. You can get the I'm just saying Democrats can interpretate that as weakness and use it towards their campaigns as, look, you see, they're acknowledging JD Vance is acknowledging mistakes are made. So, so no, hold on, before you get to it. So now people, one thing you've mentioned before is, hey, acknowledge the mistakes, right? So here is the Vice President of the United States of America who's acknowledging a mistake. Not even acknowledging a mistake, but just asking the American people for hey, give us the chance to go ahead and get things done. And now it's going to be weaponized. So you can't win. You can't win when you you can't you can't win. [15:06] Yes. Yes. [15:16] They will. [15:37] I know. Exactly. [15:40] Yeah, exactly. Let us finish. [15:48] Look, this is where JD Vance, I'll give him credit, is very smart. He's a positioning himself and there's a he's positioning himself for a presidential run. Absolutely. But he's also smart. He's doing what I'm talking about. He's he's he's solving the problem that the Democrats won't solve themselves and why the DSA is on the rise. He is he is acknowledging what people think. It's sort of like we get stuck in this thing with both sides like, if you say that, then the other side will use it against you. And what everybody misses in that comment is the the audience that matters, the voters already know. They know that things are not where they should be. They know that it's a weaponized game where both sides point fingers. They know that everybody says they're right and then and gets elected and doesn't do what they say they're going to do. They know that the Republican Party and the Trump administration has not delivered on the things they said they would. JD Vance is the one person in that administration who's smart enough to say, I know what you think. Let give us time. Let us give us the chance to finish the job we started. I know you're not happy right now. Give us the chance to finish this and show you what we can do. Trump's like, oh, we've already done it. It's been done. The Iran war was won last week, seven months ago and every month going forward. Everything's good. Your gas prices aren't that high and they're going to be lower. It's the best economy in the world. People are like, no, it's not. And JD Vance is very very carefully positioning it saying, I get it. Just I know, you're not happy right now, and I understand why. Let us finish what we started. We haven't gotten there yet, and you're disappointed, and I hear that. Let us finish. I think it's the smartest way to truly hope to win those voters, and he's positioning himself to be a great candidate for for uh for president in 2028. I don't I think it's a smart move, not a bad move. Because otherwise you're just digging in on what everybody already knows. Like, oh, we're great, we're great, we're great. And people are like, I don't think so. [17:59] Oh, you muted yourself, Mr. Professional. [18:01] I just want to touch on this. Uh, I want to touch on this topic because you keep on saying that Republicans are not admitting anything. I first of all, I'll say this. I think if you look at what's happened in the last two years under Trump's administration, I I think it is fair to say that there's more good than bad. No matter no matter what position like if you're if you're honest about it, I think there's more good than bad. Uh, and I do believe that additional time is needed. You can't fix things in six months. You can't fix things. You can't fix the mess that's happened over the years in in in only a year to two years time span. You need more time. And I've always said this, even when Trump gets out of office, you won't see the effects of all this stuff that's been done until maybe five, six, seven years down the road. And that could be a Democrat holding office or Republican. So, at the end of the day, you need to see it through. So like, yeah, we can play Monday morning quarterback here and talk about, oh, this, that and the third, but I think the pros do outweigh the cons. The only thing that I wish that we haven't or didn't do, but then it's a catch 22 is go to Iran, but Iran had they did let let's call for what it is. For them to even have any ability to have a nuclear weapon, I am okay with the United States of America going in and and taking that out. Would have loved this operation to move faster, but I mean, when you go to war, wars don't move fast. And and that's the problem. When when Trump was on a fast my only problem is this, Trump was riding sky like Trump was really moving. Like everything was getting done. Things were getting done. EOs and everything. It just like it just felt different. We I I don't you can be a Democrat and say this. It just the the ride felt different. It felt faster and things were being executed up until we hit this Iran war and that's when obviously the whole global economy suffers because now oil and and prices go up and diesel and cost of food. [18:57] That's true. [19:34] Yeah. So [19:40] Thanks for making my point. [20:06] I would say, yeah. [20:10] I would agree with you partly, and I think it's a really important point you're making. I I do think there was [20:16] You don't even know my point. You never let me finish. [20:19] Your point is there was real momentum and it was happening and the the war thing he jumped in, I'm trying to make your point. He jumped in and kind of was like, this will be done in a minute. [20:28] And it wasn't and people anyway, so he got bogged down in that a little and then everybody latched on to that and looked away from everything else that was happening, which was a a forward moving train in your eyes. And and what I would say is, and this is again where this to me, it always lands it lands on the president. The same way it lands on a coach. You know, I mean, you want to talk sports for a minute, my favorite league to be frustrated by the WNBA. The reason that Indiana Fever aren't winning is because of their coach. Stephanie White is the worst fucking coach you could ever have. She can't even stay on her players. [21:02] Well, they got bounced. They got they got bounced yesterday. [21:05] I know, and I'm saying the reason isn't because they don't have great players. [21:08] Well, you know, Caitlyn Clark also got smacked in the face with an elbow and no call on that. [21:14] Well, that's that's the oldest news in the world. She's always. You know what? She's smacked in the face with an elbow and her coach will be like, oh, it wasn't really a foul. My point is, coaching matters, leadership matters. You're running the company, you're running the team, you're, you know, there's a reason why the Chiefs offense and defense are again defying the odds because they have an amazing coach. They have great talent, but Andy Reid can work with whatever he has to make it a winning team. And Trump has can win, but the minute things aren't whatever, he doesn't he doesn't pivot and own how to make it better. He just insists it's not as bad as it seems. And that's the only part I disagree with you on. His problem with the Iran war was probably he made a mistake thinking it would be a quick, easy cleanup thing. But instead of acknowledging that it wasn't and that it's going to take a lot longer and it's going to be a lot harder and I need you all to bear with me because this is worth it. He just keeps insisting, no, we never lost. In fact, the war could be over tomorrow. In fact, I'll annihilate him tomorrow. In fact, they're begging for a peace treaty. And the oil is moving. Now, oil is now moving. But if he's been saying it's been moving for seven months, and it wasn't. Like, oil, you know, he just denies it. And people don't like that. And once you do that, they distrust you about everything else. So then they're going, well, huh. This happened with immigration too. Like, you were enforcing stuff and I was happy. And then all of a sudden, you know, this ice incidents that people getting shot and people getting, you know, protesters getting shot and people are like, I don't like this. Kids being parents being pulled off their jobs, kind of like, I'm not good with this. And Trump's like, he just denies it. And I think that has a cumulative effect on on people. The same way if you're watching the WNBA, you're like, something ain't right here. Same way if you're, you know, if you're if you're watching, you know, any team that keeps losing, the Browns, the Jets, whatever, you know, you're like, your coach is telling me it's all good. Your coach should be saying it's not all good. That's all I think. That's the only part. I do agree he was on a strong trajectory out the gate. And I liked a lot of those things. I was one of the guys who loved the tariffs. I was like, go, go for it. Reset the balance here. Like, use them as leverage. Let's get let's reset this. [21:17] Listen, you know what? [22:22] You know, [22:24] Yeah. [23:23] Um, again, listen, I I I think Trump has done I think he's done a really good job. I I just think like right now I think he's done a really good job compared to what Biden was doing. So, that that's how I look at it. [23:38] That's a horrible comparison because Biden is literally a dead president. He was a dead president. He was a dead man walking barely. [23:40] No, but that is a No, no, no, no, no. No, hold on, hold on. That's not a terrible comparison because he was the president of the United States, the most votes received by a president ever, okay? So, that's not a a debt comparison there, right? To me, it's like compared to what we had for the last four years, uh with Biden or last six years or six years ago with Biden, you know, having Trump here is a breath of fresh air. I I mean, it's a reset. So, I I just feel like more things have gotten done for the United States of America. That that I think that's a fair argument. [24:20] It it at this point is almost almost like irrelevant. I think Trump wasted an amazing opportunity. I think those first out of the gate, you know, the first part of his new administration, I think a whole lot of people, he was he was having the chance to win a lot of skeptics, a lot of Democrats. I think people were like, you know, we just experienced COVID and Biden and a president who was appeared to barely be conscious and all the lies and the stuff we weren't told and realizing the lies we were told about COVID and everything. And they're like, huh, this guy maybe wasn't wrong. And, you know, they did kind of go after him and try to destroy him and, huh, I'll give him a chance. And I really think he had a lot of potential goodwill, and I think he blew it by what I said. This this doubling down on everything and and and destroy going after anyone. You you criticize Fox News criticizes him. You're all a bunch of losers. You're fake news too. And people are like, I know people they worship Fox News the way you worship Trump. They're like, no, Fox News isn't fake news because they call the president out on something. It's it's his own undoing because I don't I think he could have done it. That's where JD Vance is smart. JD Vance gets it. He has the nuance. I actually think JD Vance would make a pretty good president. I'm not going to lie. [25:42] I honestly, before you go, I think that, um, I I do think obviously JD Vance has, uh, has done a good job with distancing himself in some way. Uh, but I think that I think there's probably been conversations between him and the president to where again, this is tinfoil hat, I guess, whatever, but I think Trump probably tells him like, look, I'm a crazy bastard and I'm going to be doing these crazy things. And
[Part 7 of 7] [00:00] [David] Yeah, I'm okay with you going ahead and distancing yourself because obviously you're going to run uh after I'm done. And if he gets you know, JD Vance gets elected, it it, you know, that benefits Trump, right? Rubio gets elected, it benefits Trump, right? You know, so it's like, okay, I'll be the I'll be the crazy one out here, you know, I won't be PC. And then when it's time for him to run, you know, like JD Vance can say, look, I agree with the president, but here's other things I would have done and like, and I think that will be okay with Trump and I think Trump will ultimately give him the endorsement. I mean, when you look at, why would Trump not endorse Vance and allow AOC to win? Knowing what could potentially happen. When people talk about, oh, I don't know if Trump is going to, you know, endorse this person, I'm like, are you kidding me? He'll have no other choice but to endorse either Rubio or Vance. [00:52] [Guest: Rob] I hate to I hate to say it. I agree with you that I think he will. However, I've watched this this this president now, when he was president, when he wasn't president, when he's president again, he will go after anyone. If JD Vance did said something he didn't like, Trump would let AOC win. Trump doesn't care as much about America as he does about his ego. I'm sorry. That's a fact. I know you don't agree with that. But that but but that's why that's why I'm saying. If Trump cared less about his ego, he'd be much higher in the polls and Republicans would have a much better shot. He would. He could just say, you know what? [01:27] [David] He's only down in the polls. He's down in the polls because of the war. No, he's he's down in the polls because of all the things I said. I do know that. And I will say this, it's an interesting coincidence, maybe. [01:40] [Guest: Rob] But Trump's Trump's starting to stumble back into these old habits that hurt him in the first term, kind of coincide with Susie Wiles's chief of his chief of staff getting cancer. [01:53] [David] Well, she's back now. [01:54] [Guest: Rob] She is, but she acknowledged that the times she was gone, she was there, but she the team stepped in around her. And there's a part of me that wonders, huh, she couldn't have been 100% dealing with that. And I wonder if it's interesting that that's around when he started kind of teetering off the rails. I think she keeps that ship running. I swear to God. I think she's the she's she's like, she's the only one that can tell him no. Manny and her. [02:21] [David] Rob Nelson has the Rob Nelson live show on Goxteen Media, the Goxteen Media Network. Uh, you can tune in Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time if he shows up to see him break down all the news when it comes to politics and even trending news. And I'm just messing around. Uh, Rob is the consummate professional, uh, and it's really cool to have him on the network and, uh, work with him here as we talk about the latest news around the world today. Rob. [02:55] [David] Good job with that. [02:57] [David] I was going to say good job with the influencer house. [03:00] [Guest: Rob] Yeah, it's fun. You come visit. You come visit. You come be part of it. [03:03] [David] I don't know, maybe one day I'll be reporting live from that lovely house in uh DC. [03:07] [Guest: Rob] You're going to it's a few hours away from me. So hope you'll come down. And feel free, you know, everybody, I do want people to watch my show. And if you watch on Wednesday, sometimes you get a sighting of this rare uh this rare species that David Goxteen sometimes comes into the show. It's it depends when. He's like, he's like the snow leopard. So he's hard to see in the Himalayas. [03:28] [David] Hard to see. It depends when. Like depends diapers. Anyway. [03:32] [Guest: Rob] It's good to see you, man. [03:34] [David] I hope they got a good stock for you in there. Uh, it's good to see you. [03:38] [Guest: Rob] Ah, thank you. [03:39] [David] Talk to you later. Rob Nelson, everybody, tune into his show, follow give him a follow. Great gentleman, uh, veteran broadcaster, uh, mainstream media head, knows what he's talking about. I don't agree with everything he's saying, but you know what the whole point is, you don't have conversations where everybody agrees. Everybody should have their own point of view on certain subjects. We'll be right back to talk a little bit more crypto right after this commercial break. Maybe we'll go and look at the FOMO app right now. Maybe I'll take a thousand dollars and put it into one of your favorite plays. Why don't you tell your Telegrams, why don't you go tell your Discords that David might put a thousand dollars into one of your favorite plays. Win me over. How about that? Win me over and let me see what you got for me. Anyway, we'll be back right after this commercial break. [04:29] [Music] [04:30] [Music] What first got you excited about blockchains? [04:34] [Music] Think about it. [04:35] [Music] Oh wait. [04:39] [Music] I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. [04:53] [Music] Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to sharing the value it creates. [05:03] [Music] Or maybe it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So why hasn't it happened yet? We're we're still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix. It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. [05:34] [Music] And that's why we built Midnight to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. [05:42] [Music] Let's build the internet we deserve. [05:45] [Music] Together. [05:50] [Music] Ladies and gentlemen, we all know this in crypto. Ownership matters. That's why Cake Wallet. [06:33] [Music] This is Houston. T-minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. [06:48] [Music] Breaking news. There's an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. [06:58] [Music] Is that guy on FOMO? [07:00] [Music] Let me first crazy. Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. [07:18] [Music] Breaking news. There's an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. [07:25] [Music] Opportunity cost is simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. [07:39] [Music] This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. [07:48] [Music] This. [07:50] [Music] For now, the crisis appears to be over. [08:05] [Music] Satellite up and running. Positions looking good too. [08:18] [Music] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [08:47] [Music] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [09:17] [Music] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [10:15] [David] What's going on, ladies and gentlemen? We're back. I had to get a drink. [10:22] [David] I had to get a drink. I was thirsty as hell. Uh, welcome back to episode 796. I looked at my bottle. I thought I had water. I was like, damn it. The last second I had a had a bucket to go get a a bottle of water. All right, Midnight is the title sponsor of this show. Uh, Polymarket, Polymarket is the official prediction market sponsor of the breakdown. And if you are signing up to Polymarket, use the code the break, excuse me, not the breakdown, but breakdown when entering, when entering at signup. Cake Wallet is one of the most secure wallets that we have in this space and we had Leah on here, the marketing manager for Cake Wallet. We if you missed it, if you missed it, I would tell you to go ahead and rewind or or tune into the show after it's done or, uh, listen, if you're into listening to the podcast, go to Apple Podcast, Spotify, I Heart Radio, and Amazon Music to go ahead and tune into the latest breakdown shows to get the latest on on me breaking down AI, crypto, and obviously politics on this show. Um, and shout out to FOMO. I said right now, I just said it. FOMO, um, I'm willing to take a thousand dollars and put it into one of your favorite assets. So let me see how many people go ahead and tune in. It's you know what? I think I need to do it this way. This is what I think I need to do. Hold on. Because I don't know if I tweeted it out there correctly. See, the problem is, here's the problem. When I make a tweet like this, when I make a tweet like this, see, people are talking about this outside, outside instead of inside the chat. So, hold on. Let me do it like this. So, so everybody can see. All right, so cool. I did that. Um, y'all tell me. You guys tell me what what do you think is worth it? Uh, that's out there that's not being talked about that should go ahead and, um, that should have my thousand dollars go into it. Also, I said I would be giving away money today. So if you have retweeted, so here here's the thing. If you have subscribed to my YouTube channel, okay? If you've subscribed to my YouTube channel and you've put on notifications and you've reshared the stream with everybody, okay? If you've done that on X too, if you've shared the stream onto X, okay? Here's what I want you to do. Besides the notifications of subscriptions tab being on, if you share this onto X or onto Threads or wherever you post, if you're sharing it, you're eligible you're eligible to go ahead and win some money. Okay? So let me know. Before you got you you essentially got 10 minutes left. We're going to close it down after 10 minutes. Great show today. We have an awesome lineup coming next week. It's going to be a great lineup. We got some big time heavy hitters coming on and we'll go have some big time heavy conversations. Big time heavy conversations. And it's going to be fun. It's going to be fun. By the way, today I was thinking after the show, maybe doing my first in a long time a public spaces on X. I'm thinking maybe just maybe I'll do one. I haven't talked to the people and you know, Without a shadow of a doubt, I'm one of the greatest MCs of all time. I'm probably going to do spaces maybe after the show for a half an hour. So I'd like to get off of here by in 15 minutes or maybe even 10 minutes and then open up a space for only 20 minutes, 20 to 25 minutes to break down and recap essentially the week in crypto, AI, and just crypto and AI. Now, I'm not going to dive into politics. Okay? I know a lot of people have asked me, hey Dave, do spaces, do I'm going to do spaces once a week. Once a week and we'll do spaces where I break down crypto and I and I and I give you my thoughts on crypto and I talk about AI. That's it. Those are the two things I'm talking and I'm out. It's not going to be a six-hour marathon. It's just going to be 20 to 25 minutes of me breaking stuff down. Recap, you know what I'm going to do? Recap in the week on Fridays. That to me is the best way to go about it. So that's what we will do. Again, like, share, subscribe, notifications. YouTube is where we're at. I appreciate everybody who has come through X. I know a lot of you guys don't see each other talking on TikTok here. I hope that Restream does have a way where they can finally integrate TikTok into the conversation, the same way they have integrated YouTube and X and Kick. Please and Twitch also. Please Restream integrate TikTok here so I have an easier time having a conversation or seeing the conversation happening on TikTok. All my accounts are verified besides only one isn't. It's YouTube and I'm working to get that done. But all of my accounts are legacy verified, not paid for, just verified based on credentials. Also, you can find the latest of what I am doing. So I'll pop open 20, 25 minutes of just breaking stuff down. I want to say thank you to everybody who tunes in. Every single person that tunes into this network, that listens while they're driving, while they're working out, that replays the show. Thank you so much. I want to apologize for trying to have a show and and and then it goes and deviates. Uh, never again. Uh, we move forward and we continue to move forward and I stated this in a sub chat, uh, meaning my subscriber chat, uh, that I will be working at the end of the day, the only person that gets to say, uh, what I align with is me and it's something that I've said from day one till now and that is, uh, I will continue to build out and figure out a way to build a phenomenal movement aligned with the most dankest motherfuckers on the planet. Uh, and ultimately, if there's anything, it will be me who picks something and not somebody else. Uh, and that's about it. I appreciate you guys tuning in. Next week, phenomenal shows, big time guests. We'll have the lineup put out there. Also, we'll be putting out clips, shorts on YouTube shorts, on Instagram reels.
