The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation has begun moving DTC-custodied U.S. Treasury securities onto the Canton network, marking a direct effort to represent traditional fixed-income assets within a blockchain environment.

Canton, an institutional blockchain network designed for financial market participants, facilitates interoperability and atomic transactions across asset classes and digital-physical settlement.

DTCC custodies trillions of dollars in securities. Its move to on-chain Treasury representation signals institutional adoption of blockchain infrastructure for capital markets settlement.

Hyperliquid operates as a purpose-built Layer 1 for perpetual futures and maintains significant trading volume through competitive pricing. Lighter's fee alignment targets liquidity migration and positions the platform as a direct competitor for on-chain derivatives market share.

The DTCC initiative expands institutional RWA adoption onto blockchain rails. Lighter's launch reflects continued competition among native DeFi trading venues for volume and liquidity.
