Circle generated $865 million in total revenue during the third quarter, a 17 percent increase driven by $182 million from its ARC token presale, the stablecoin issuer reported Wednesday.
Net income from continuing operations rose 5 percent to $226 million. USDC on-chain volume expanded 49 percent to $13.9 trillion, signaling sustained institutional and retail demand.
Reserve income—the largest revenue component—reflects interest earned on assets backing USDC, primarily short-term U.S. Treasury bills and cash equivalents. That income stream benefits from elevated rates in money markets.
The ARC presale represents Circle's push beyond USDC into protocol infrastructure. The token integrates with Circle's settlement and cross-chain capabilities, broadening its ecosystem moat.
The $13.9 trillion quarterly volume is critical context: it shows USDC remains the rails for on-chain commerce and trading. Higher volume means deeper liquidity and stickier adoption. For holders and traders, it validates USDC's moat against rival stablecoins in an environment where transaction throughput and settlement finality now drive competitive advantage.
