PancakeSwap initiated a governance vote on Oct. 21 for "The Flip," a proposal to restructure fee distribution and tokenomics. The measure would allocate 88 percent of swap fees from V3 and Infinity pools to liquidity providers, up from the current 66 to 68 percent on most pools.

Daily CAKE emissions would fall approximately 69 percent, from 22,500 to 7,000 tokens. Voting concludes Oct. 24, with implementation expected in November if approved.

The proposal arrives as PancakeSwap's TVL climbed nearly 19 percent over the past week to $2.4 billion as of Wednesday, adding roughly $380 million in capital. V3 pools more than doubled their TVL to about $739 million from $336 million. BNB Chain hosts approximately $2.33 billion of the protocol's $2.40 billion TVL.

PancakeSwap processed approximately $4.67 billion in DEX volume over seven days, representing about 71 percent of BNB Chain's total DEX trading activity.

BNB Chain's broader DeFi ecosystem also expanded. Network TVL rose 8.3 percent to $5.84 billion, while DEX volume surged 40.2 percent to $6.54 billion. Stablecoin market capitalization on the chain declined 0.6 percent to $13.1 billion.

PancakeSwap has integrated Binance's bStocks tokenized equities since June. Binance reported on Oct. 15 that bStocks surpassed $1 billion in assets under management roughly four months after launch, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $40 billion. In early October, 11.2 percent of bStocks' total value sat deployed in DeFi protocols.
