PancakeSwap's governance proposal, dubbed "The Flip," proposes elevating liquidity provider fee share to 88 percent of swap fees in V3 and Infinity pools, up from 66 to 68 percent on most existing pools. The vote runs until Oct. 24, with implementation expected in November if approved.

The proposal also mandates a 69 percent reduction in daily CAKE emissions, decreasing from 22,500 to 7,000 tokens. This aligns with efforts to improve tokenomics and incentivize long-term liquidity provision.

PancakeSwap's TVL climbed nearly 19 percent over the past week to $2.4 billion as of Wednesday, adding approximately $380 million from $2.02 billion on Oct. 14. V3 liquidity pools drove much of the inflow, with their TVL more than doubling from $336 million to $739 million.

The protocol processed $4.67 billion in DEX volume over the past seven days, representing 71 percent of BNB Chain's total DEX activity. Roughly $2.33 billion of its $2.40 billion TVL is hosted on BNB Chain.

BNB Chain's broader DeFi ecosystem expanded 8.3 percent over seven days to $5.84 billion TVL. DEX volume across the network surged 40.2 percent to $6.54 billion. Stablecoin market cap on BNB Chain declined 0.6 percent to $13.1 billion.

PancakeSwap has supported Binance's bStocks tokenized equity product since June. On Oct. 15, Binance announced bStocks surpassed $1 billion in assets under management, approximately four months after launch, with more than $40 billion in cumulative trading volume. As of early October, 11.2 percent of bStocks' total value was deployed across DeFi protocols.
