The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is facilitating on-chain settlement of DTC-custodied Treasuries through the Canton Network, a permissioned blockchain designed for institutional tokenized assets and inter-protocol operations. The move integrates traditional U.S. securities infrastructure with blockchain settlement, advancing institutional adoption of RWA tokenization.

DTCC manages trillions in daily transactions as the primary post-trade infrastructure for U.S. securities. Its participation signals growing integration of distributed ledger technology into established financial systems, with Canton handling regulatory compliance and privacy requirements for large-scale instruments.

Separately, Lighter has launched LIT trading with a fee model in the range of Hyperliquid's rates. Hyperliquid, a Layer 1 dedicated to on-chain perpetual futures, operates as a high-volume reference for competitive fee structures in DeFi derivatives. The platform's HYPE token launched in November 2024.

Tokenized Treasuries continue to attract capital inflows as DeFi protocols offer stable, yield-bearing government bonds on-chain, expanding the institutional RWA ecosystem.
