CoreWeave (CRWV) shares have fallen 56.9 percent over the past twelve months, significantly underperforming the S&P 500's 17.4 percent return. The AI cloud company trades at $61.12, near its yearly low.
The decline is justified. Despite more than doubling revenue, CoreWeave swung from a 6.3 percent operating margin to a 3.0 percent operating loss. The valuation multiple compressed from 18.9 times sales to 4.4 times—a sharp reset.
The balance sheet compounds the concern. The company generated $6.9 billion in operating cash flow but burned $13.7 billion in free cash flow due to its infrastructure build-out. Total debt stands at 153.2 percent of market value versus 20.0 percent for the S&P 500.
Yet there is a concrete bull case: CoreWeave reported a $104.2 billion revenue backlog at the end of June, a 246 percent year-over-year increase. In July, the company raised prices approximately 25 percent across its product lineup and stated that near-term capacity is fully sold out. Full-year 2026 guidance was raised to $12.4 billion to $13.2 billion.
For fiscal Q3 2026 (July to September), CoreWeave guided for $3.45 billion to $3.6 billion in revenue. Analyst consensus sits at $3.62 billion—just above the top end of management's range. The bar is high: the prior quarter delivered $2.58 billion.
The company reports Q3 results on or around November 11, 2026. This will be the first quarter to reflect the July price increases.
For investors, the calculus is simple. A revenue miss below $3.45 billion means waiting was the right call. A beat of the $3.62 billion consensus paired with another upward guidance revision confirms underlying business strength and justifies owning the stock at current levels. Anything in between keeps the case for waiting intact.
