NO GOING BACK PAC, a political action committee affiliated with President Donald Trump, spent $686,000 on television advertising in Alabama's second congressional district to support Republican state Representative Rhett Marques against Democratic incumbent Shomari Figures.

The spending underscores how aggressively Trump-aligned groups are defending Republican seats even in districts already drawn to favor the GOP. Republicans redrew Alabama's second district to boost their margins, giving the seat a Trump +14 voter registration advantage.

Figures, first elected in 2020 before the redistricting, faces a much harder path to reelection. The new boundaries pack Democratic voters out of the district, and Marques enters the race as the strong favorite.

The $686,000 ad buy reflects the scale of resources MAGA-aligned PACs are mobilizing in House races nationwide. While the Alabama second district leans heavily Republican, the spending signals that Trump's political machine views the seat as worth protecting—either to ensure victory or to deter any Democratic challenge.
