DUBLIN — Lawyers representing Daniel Kinahan told a court they plan to apply for his bail, though they did not specify when.
Kinahan faces allegations of organizing crime activities across Europe. The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control designated him and several associates as members of a transnational criminal organization in April 2022, offering a $5 million reward for information leading to his arrest or conviction.
Irish authorities have also pursued Kinahan, alleging his involvement in a criminal enterprise. The Kinahan cartel has been linked to drug trafficking, money laundering and other illicit activities across Europe.
