Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson left the quarterback situation unresolved following Monday night's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, praising third-string Case Keenum but declining to name a starter for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Keenum stepped in after starter Caleb Williams was sidelined with a Grade 2 hamstring strain—an injury that could sideline him for up to a month. Second-string quarterback Tyson Bagent, who had been in concussion protocol for most of the week, was cleared and available as the No. 2 quarterback.

"What he was able to do here tonight, I thought he did an extraordinary job," Johnson said of Keenum. "He played really efficient football and I couldn't be more proud of him for that."

But Johnson stopped short of naming a Week 4 starter. "We'll have a discussion as a coaching staff and we'll see where we need to go from here," he said.

Johnson also acknowledged Bagent's standing in the organization. "There was a reason Tyson ended training camp as our No. 2 quarterback," he said. Johnson expressed confidence in the team's depth across the position: "Whether it's Caleb, whether it's Tyson, whether it's Case, we've got one of the best quarterback rooms in the NFL."

The Jets enter the matchup 1-2 after losing to Detroit 31-24 in Week 3. Chicago's defense ranks 22nd in the league in passing yards allowed per game.
