Polymarket named Warren Jenson as its first chief financial officer, tasking him with building financial infrastructure and capital strategy for the prediction market's U.S. expansion under regulatory oversight.
Jenson will report to Shayne Coplan, Polymarket's founder and chief executive. His career spans finance leadership at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and NBC during the 1990s and early 2000s. He most recently served as president and CFO of Nielsen until January 2025, and spent over four years in the same dual role at data platform LiveRamp, where he also oversaw international operations. He sits on the boards of DigitalOcean, Dropbox and Ripple.
Coplan said in a statement: "We're assembling the team to match the opportunity in front of us. Warren has led finance at some of the most consequential companies in the world, and his experience will be critical to everything we build from here."
Jenson added: "I'm joining Shayne and the leadership team to put the capital strategy and operating discipline in place to move quickly at scale."
Polymarket's $21 billion valuation follows a $1 billion fundraise. 1789 Capital is investing roughly $300 million, with Donald Trump Jr. as a partner at the firm. Intercontinental Exchange disclosed a $1.6 billion stake earlier this year.
The company operates as a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Jenson's hire marks the second leadership addition this year, following the appointment of Travis VanderZanden, founder of a scooter-sharing company, as chief growth officer.
Polymarket competes directly with Kalshi for market share in U.S. prediction markets, while Robinhood and DraftKings have also launched offerings in the space.
