LONDON
Four men were stabbed on Bromley High Street on Thursday, Sept. 10, leaving one in critical condition, Metropolitan Police said. Officers responding around 2:15 p.m. to reports of an altercation arrested seven individuals at the scene.
Initial reports indicated several people were seen carrying machetes in the area before the stabbings. London Ambulance Service transported all four injured men to hospital. Three are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The seven arrested men remain in police custody as inquiries continue. Police said they do not believe there is any wider threat to the public.
Peter Fortune, the Member of Parliament for Bromley and Biggin Hill, said he is aware of the incident and will remain in close contact with police during their investigation.
