Ronald Acuña Jr. needs one more home run to reach 200 in his Major League Baseball career. The Atlanta Braves outfielder has 199 home runs since his 2018 debut.
Acuña signed with the Braves as an international free agent in July 2014 for $100,000. He made his professional debut the following year with the Gulf Coast Braves and advanced rapidly through the minor league system.
In 2023, Acuña became the fifth MLB player to join the 40-40 club with 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases. He also became the first to achieve a 40-70 season, setting a modern-era franchise record in stolen bases. That season earned him the National League Most Valuable Player Award.
His other honors include five All-Star selections and three Silver Slugger Awards. He has led the league in stolen bases twice.
In 2025, Acuña recorded his 200th career stolen base against the New York Mets, becoming the eighth active player to reach that mark. He also achieved 200 hits in a season, an accomplishment for only the sixth Brave and 11th instance in the Integration Era since 1947.
Acuña helped Venezuela win the World Baseball Classic in 2026.
