Tron's stablecoin market capitalization grew $2.2 billion during July, pulling away from every other chain while the overall stablecoin market shed $2.7 billion over the same 30-day period ending Aug. 4.

BNB Chain ranked second with an $84.9 million stablecoin market cap increase. Aptos followed with $82.1 million in growth, and Avalanche recorded a $73.1 million rise in its stablecoin supply.

The July inflow pushes Tron's total stablecoin supply to approximately $91.57 billion, keeping it second only to Ethereum by stablecoin market cap.

Tether's USDT dominates the Tron stablecoin ecosystem, accounting for 97.78 percent of the network's total supply—roughly $89.5 billion in USDT circulating on-chain. Tron's native algorithmic stablecoin, USDD, contributes $1.19 billion to the total.

Tron processes more than $20 billion in daily stablecoin transaction volume across more than 2.2 million individual transfers, with active addresses averaging over one million per day. Daily stablecoin transaction volume has grown 45.9 percent year-over-year. The median transaction fee sits at approximately $0.09 per transfer, with finality in around three seconds.

Tron began accumulating significant USDT supply after 2021 and maintained its growth trajectory through the 2022-2023 bear market, when most other chains saw stablecoin supply contract. Its total stablecoin supply has grown nearly 10x since early 2021.

Tether has directly supported USDT minting on Tron to meet demand, and Tron's EVM compatibility has eased integration for developers and services already building on Ethereum tooling.

Centralized exchanges—Binance chief among them—have adopted the TRC-20 standard for USDT deposits and withdrawals, giving users a low-cost, fast option for moving stablecoins between exchanges and on-chain applications.

Tron has gained traction in Asia and emerging markets, where dollar-denominated stablecoins serve as practical alternatives to volatile local currencies and as remittance rails.

Every transaction requires bandwidth and energy resources, which users obtain by staking or burning TRX. Higher transaction throughput drives demand for those resources, underpinning TRX's utility.
