NEW YORK — Intel shares fell nearly 3 percent Monday after the chipmaker announced a $15 billion common stock offering. The company said it will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures and working capital.

Apple dipped 2 percent to $306.68 after Jefferies downgraded the stock to underperform from hold. Jefferies analysts said supply chain checks indicate Apple has canceled an unannounced all-glass iPhone project, increasing pressure on the company to sell higher-priced devices to offset rising memory costs.

Verisk Analytics tumbled more than 5 percent after a Delaware judge ruled Friday that it must proceed with a $2.35 billion acquisition of AccuLynx. Verisk had terminated the deal in December, citing an incomplete Federal Trade Commission review by the transaction's termination date.

MarineMax surged 46 percent after agreeing to be acquired by Blackstone Infrastructure's Safe Harbor Marinas. The all-cash deal values the boat and yacht retailer at $53 per share, or $1.5 billion, and is expected to close by the end of 2026.

Varex Imaging climbed 48 percent after Teledyne Technologies agreed to acquire the imaging component maker for $18.90 a share in cash. Teledyne rose a fraction. The deal is expected to close in early 2027.

Doximity fell 5 percent Monday after surging more than 32 percent Friday. CEO Jeffrey Tangney said the company's artificial intelligence search tool is generating high margins, which drove Friday's gain.

NetApp gained 6 percent after Morgan Stanley upgraded the data storage company to equal weight from underweight. Analyst Erik Woodring said improving storage fundamentals support higher earnings estimates.

Stocks tied to artificial intelligence infrastructure fell broadly. The Global X Data Center & Digital Infrastructure ETF (DTCR) lost 1 percent. Corning dropped more than 3 percent, while photonics stocks Coherent and Lumentum fell 12 percent and more than 6 percent, respectively.

Berkshire Hathaway rose almost 2 percent after reporting a 16 percent increase in second-quarter operating earnings. Manufacturing, service, retailing and energy segments all posted strong growth. The insurance segment was weaker, with investment income declining 9 percent.

Everpure, a data storage provider, surged 9 percent after Morgan Stanley and Susquehanna both raised their investment recommendations on the stock.

Monday.com dropped more than 6 percent after the work management software company issued guidance that disappointed Wall Street analysts.
