Solana's network processed over 1 billion non-vote transactions last week, setting a new all-time high for on-chain activity. Prior weekly counts had stayed below the nine-figure mark for months. That changes now.

The surge is broad-based. Tokenized asset trading, network revenue and DEX volume all hit record levels in the same period, confirming this is not a single-vertical spike. Active wallet addresses and unique program interactions are also climbing, which means real users are driving the numbers, not bots inflating counts.

Institutional money is following the data. Solana-focused ETFs recorded $5.75 million in inflows last week, channeling capital directly into the ecosystem as on-chain metrics move to levels the chain has never seen.

SOL trades at $73.83, holding its recovery while Bitcoin consolidates at $64,319 and Ethereum sits at $1,876. The relative strength matters: SOL is posting record throughput while majors chop sideways.

Solana's low fees and fast finality are doing exactly what they were built to do—pull DeFi protocols, NFT platforms and developer deployments away from higher-cost chains. Higher transaction volume translates to increased protocol fees and stronger economic security for the network.

The outstanding question is uptime. Past outages cost Solana credibility with institutional allocators, and sustaining billion-plus weekly transactions without degradation is the real test. Scaling infrastructure remains an active priority for the development community.

Sustained throughput at this level makes Solana a direct competitive threat to every other Layer 1 chasing dApp market share.
