Enpro (NPO) trades at 93.7 times trailing twelve-month earnings—4.1 times the S&P 500's current 22.8 P/E multiple. For that premium to survive, the company must grow revenue 23.3 percent annually for six consecutive years.

The math is straightforward. As of the Nov. 4, 2026 close, Enpro carried a $5.88 billion market cap. At a normalized 22.8x multiple, the stock would need to generate $258 million in annual net profit by fiscal Q3 2032—four times the $62.8 million it earned over the past twelve months. Assuming a 5.7 percent net margin (above the three-year average of 3.4 percent but conservative relative to recent highs), that profit target demands $4.52 billion in annual revenue—a 250 percent climb from the current $1.29 billion.

The company is already executing. Revenue rose 22.4 percent in fiscal Q3 2026, the fastest pace in five quarters, and management raised fiscal 2026 guidance to $1.33 billion to $1.34 billion, representing 16.8 percent growth. Advanced Surface Technologies, which supplies precision cleaning solutions to chip manufacturers, expanded 25.8 percent in Q3 and is expected to exceed 25 percent growth again in Q4. Sealing Technologies, the larger segment serving aerospace and industrial customers, contributed $732 million in fiscal 2025 revenue.

Yet this raises the critical question for value investors: Even if Enpro hits 23.3 percent annual growth, you are betting the company sustains growth roughly double its Enpro 3.0 strategic target (mid-to-high single digits through 2030, excluding acquisitions). Wall Street is pricing in either aggressive M&A, significant margin expansion beyond current trajectory, or both. The current valuation offers little margin of safety if execution stumbles.
