Nike, Costco, Micron, Reddit and Nvidia have formally objected to OKX and ICE's plan to tokenize their shares on the Tokenized Stock Venture (TSV). The rejections push the total number of opposing firms to 50 of the 62 originally targeted in the proposal.

The corporate resistance exposes a fundamental friction between traditional equity structures and the blockchain's promise of open, permissionless finance. Blue-chip opposition underscores deep concerns over regulatory ambiguity and loss of control over share issuance. Proponents argue tokenization offers fractional ownership, 24/7 global trading and enhanced liquidity for real-world assets—but these firms are not buying it.

OKX and ICE face pressure to revise the TSV strategy or significantly narrow its scope. A revised proposal addressing specific corporate concerns seems inevitable. The outcome will define the near-term trajectory of tokenized equity offerings and the broader RWA tokenization narrative.
