U.S. Treasury yields fell to one-month lows Friday as a broad technology rout triggered a flight to safety, lifting bond prices and compressing risk premiums across fixed income.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 2.6 percent, with the S&P 500 down 1.6 percent and the Russell 2000 down 1.5 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.7 percent.

Megacap technology stocks led the decline. Nvidia fell 3.8 percent, Microsoft 1.6 percent, Amazon 1.8 percent, Tesla 1.0 percent, Alphabet 0.7 percent, Apple 0.5 percent and Meta Platforms 0.3 percent.

The rotation into Treasuries reflects classic risk-off mechanics: equity volatility spiked, bid-ask spreads widened, and institutional investors moved duration exposure from equities to fixed income. Bond prices rose, yields compressed. The inverse price-yield relationship means sustained demand for government debt puts downward pressure on borrowing costs.
