J.P. Morgan Asset Management expanded its tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX onto the Solana blockchain, giving qualified U.S. investors access through the Morgan Money platform. Both funds were previously available only on Ethereum.

The funds offer dollar-denominated money market exposure via programmable blockchain rails. Investors manage subscriptions, redemptions and token balances from a single interface, with blockchain infrastructure handling ownership and settlement.

Tokenized money market funds serve institutional cash management strategies rather than speculative trading. They also function as reserve tools for stablecoin issuers operating under the U.S. GENIUS Act framework—a regulatory alignment critical for broader adoption.

J.P. Morgan joins BlackRock and other major asset managers testing tokenized products across public blockchains. The expansion signals sustained institutional interest in public chain infrastructure for traditional financial assets.

On-chain data from Solana Sensei shows tokenized credit holders on Solana reached 19,789—a record. Holders of tokenized stocks across tracked markets climbed to roughly 1.5 million, up 6.7 percent. NVDAx leads individual equities with approximately 190,100 holders, followed by SPCX at 111,100.

Wallet-level holder counts matter more than total asset value for measuring adoption. Large institutional deposits can inflate asset totals quickly, but rising holder distribution signals genuine participation and network health.

Tokenization has moved past experimental pilots. Major asset managers are now placing money market funds, stocks and other traditional assets onto public chains. Solana positions itself as infrastructure for managing real financial assets, moving beyond token trading into institutional cash flows.

The real test comes next: whether these tokenized funds generate sustained balances and transaction volume. Launch is one step. Continued usage validates the expansion.
