Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds registered a net inflow of 2,528 BTC ($212.31 million) over the seven days through October 21, bucking a single-day outflow of 403 BTC ($33.88 million) on that date.
Ethereum spot ETFs posted a contrasting trend, with investors pulling 155,122 ETH ($384.13 million) from the funds over the same weekly period. On October 21 alone, 12,688 ETH ($31.42 million) left Ethereum spot ETF products.
The divergence underscores shifting capital allocation between the two largest digital assets within regulated ETF structures. Bitcoin spot ETFs, approved in January 2024, have sustained steady accumulation despite daily volatility. Ethereum spot ETFs, approved in May 2024, have faced sustained redemptions in recent weeks, signaling institutional and retail preference for Bitcoin exposure through these vehicles.
