Apple Inc. (AAPL), Bumble Inc. (BMBL), and BP PLC (BP) hit 52-week highs Tuesday on distinct company catalysts and broader market tailwinds.
Apple closed up 0.09 percent at $348.15 after unveiling its Home Collection of smart home accessories, developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and door lock. All products enable one-tap iPhone setup and operate through the Apple Home app without requiring separate applications or accounts. Apple plans to ship most accessories starting in December, with some releases delayed to early 2027. The stock has gained nearly 26 percent year-to-date in 2026.
Bumble Inc. (BMBL) surged 56 percent to $5.98—its steepest single-day gain on record—after announcing its acquisition by Ithaca Holdings in an all-cash deal valued at $1.3 billion. Shareholders will receive $6.05 per Class A share, a 138 percent premium over Bumble's Oct. 9 closing price. Ithaca co-CEOs Ravi Gupta and John Hegeman will assume leadership after close. Founder Whitney Wolfe Herd is expected to remain involved. Bumble will keep its Austin headquarters and file its Form 10-Q by Nov. 9 but will skip its Q3 earnings call. The stock has climbed over 64 percent in 2026.
BP stock gained nearly 4 percent to $48.74, marking two consecutive days of gains for the energy giant. The advance reflects rising crude prices and Middle East tensions following Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Brent crude futures for December delivery traded at $106.95 a barrel, up more than 1 percent. West Texas Intermediate futures for November delivery traded at $95.21 per barrel. BP is expected to update its corporate strategy in December, giving new CEO Meg O'Neill a platform to outline her vision for the company.
