Tokenized stock products now represent 1.23 percent of the total stablecoin market, up from 0.20 percent at the start of the year. The market capitalization of tokenized stocks climbed from $600 million to $3.8 billion over the same period, while the aggregate stablecoin market maintained a stable valuation around $300 billion.
The growth indicates stablecoin liquidity shifting toward tokenized equities. Protocols offering tokenized stocks—such as Ondo's OUSDY and others building equity exposure on-chain—provide direct access to public equities without exiting the blockchain environment, enabling composability with other DeFi primitives like lending and yield protocols.
The expansion reflects broader adoption of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. Stablecoins serve as the primary funding mechanism, allowing investors to gain traditional equity exposure while maintaining settlement speed and fractional ownership native to on-chain markets.
