Bybit launched U.S. equities and exchange-traded funds trading on Oct. 12, letting crypto traders access over 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs directly through USDC stablecoin balances.
Eligible users fund purchases directly with USDC, bypassing traditional brokerage account setups. The offering consolidates crypto and equity positions under a single login within Bybit's Unified Trading Account, requiring only identity verification and residency in a permitted jurisdiction.
The initial lineup includes Apple Inc. Nvidia Corp. Tesla Inc. Micron Technology Inc. and the Invesco QQQ ETF. Bybit offers fractional purchases and zero trading commissions on all buys and sells.
"With stocks now available through Bybit, we are giving people broader access to financial markets and greater freedom to pursue opportunities," said Ben Zhou, Bybit co-founder and CEO.
Brokerage execution flows through Alpaca Securities LLC, a U.S. broker-dealer that executes all orders and holds assets. Infra Capital Limited, regulated by Mauritius' Financial Services Commission, acts as the introducing broker.
Trading runs 24/5 across U.S. premarket, regular and after-hours sessions. Cash dividends convert to USDC and credit to accounts, while stock dividends and splits process automatically. Bybit plans to introduce voting rights for shares in a future phase.
The expansion follows Bybit's 2025 launch of stock contracts for difference, foreign exchange and commodities on its app.
