Gate.io launched Gate Money, an integrated financial application that consolidates crypto, stocks, gold and cash into one account with a linked spending card.

CEO Han said users can now "buy a cup of coffee with $NVDA stock."

The ability to directly spend fractional holdings—a portion of a $237.47 NVDA position or gold reserves—effectively converts non-cash assets into spendable liquidity. This reduces friction for users moving capital out of traditional brokerage or banking platforms and potentially locks more funds inside the Gate ecosystem.

Gate Money competes with fintech apps and crypto-linked cards but distinguishes itself through multi-asset support. Most existing offerings focus on a single asset class. A consolidated hub spanning crypto, equities and commodities could draw liquidity from decentralized finance protocols and competing exchanges.

The platform faces complex regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. Gate plans a phased rollout targeting key regions over coming quarters, requiring specific financial licenses in each market to support multi-asset functionality.
