A prominent Ethena (ENA) whale transferred 37.725 million ENA tokens, valued at $9.25 million, to Binance through BitGo in the past 12 hours, marking the second major movement from wallet 0xa55457e0D0652Ba47FE1F97873A62B4f9dcAE4D1 this week.
The wallet had been inactive for over a year before resuming activity. On Oct. 3, it moved 30 million ENA ($6.98 million) to the same exchange via BitGo. Combined, the two transfers total 67.725 million tokens ($16.23 million).
Before the first transfer, the wallet held more than 157 million ENA. It now retains 119.82 million tokens, currently valued at $29.6 million.
The use of BitGo for these institutional-grade custody transfers suggests deliberate positioning rather than retail liquidation. The price of ENA rose slightly between the two transfers: approximately $0.232 during the Oct. 3 deposit and $0.245 at the most recent one.
Large deposits to centralized exchanges typically signal preparation for sale or rebalancing. The magnitude of this activity—43 percent of the wallet's former holdings moved in days—may apply pressure to ENA's on-chain liquidity and near-term spot trading dynamics.
