Robinhood introduced Robinhood Agents, an AI trading tool embedded directly in its app that allows users to analyze markets, build strategies and execute trades around the clock without manual intervention.
Alongside Robinhood Agents, the company launched Agent Apps, which integrate institutional-grade data and specialized tools from third-party providers. CEO Vlad Tenev said the goal is to make Robinhood the top platform for active traders by providing tools previously available only to hedge funds, large banks and quantitative firms.
Additional announcements include perpetual futures for eligible U.S. customers, earnings contracts for company metrics and 24/7 weekend trading for equities, slated for early next year.
Robinhood first introduced agentic trading in May, enabling users to connect their own third-party AI agents to the platform. Since launch, over 150,000 customers opened agentic trading accounts, with agents utilizing Robinhood's tools nearly 30 million times daily.
The new Robinhood Agents experience brings agentic finance into the main app, making it accessible to all users regardless of AI familiarity. Users can name their agent, open a dedicated agentic account and select an AI model, including OpenAI GPT-Luna, which will be free through year-end.
For safety, agents can only access funds within their dedicated agentic trading account. Users can manually approve each trade—a setting that defaults to on during setup and remains adjustable at any time.
Agent Apps will feature integrations with Unusual Whales, Token Terminal and SkyfiApp. Unusual Whales will offer an Options Trader app providing real-time options data to help users identify trading opportunities. The Unusual Whales integration pipes live options flow directly to the AI agent, enabling faster trade execution.
Robinhood's Trading MCP, launched earlier this year, remains available for customers preferring to connect their own third-party agents, with Robinhood Agents serving as the native alternative.
