Asset World Corporation, led by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, is preparing a $1 billion initial public offering for its real estate investment trust. The company announced the plan on Sept. 26, 2026, aiming to raise capital for its hotel and commercial property portfolio.
AWC Chief Executive Officer Wallapa Traisorat said the group will seed the trust with four hotels and one office building valued at approximately 48 billion baht, or $1.44 billion. The domestic listing is targeted for early 2027.
The company expects foreign institutions to acquire around half of the offering. The REIT will be evaluated on standard metrics including yield, occupancy rates and asset management performance.
The structure follows a broader regional shift toward liquid, publicly traded real estate vehicles. A public listing will impose greater disclosure and governance standards on Asset World's properties, providing investors with clearer performance visibility.
