Drake released his hour-long film "FOMO" on YouTube, accumulating 4.5 million views. The self-funded surrealist project chronicles a summer lifestyle centered on maximizing experiences.
The film showcases Drake's mother Sandy and her two girlfriends smoking, drinking, getting manicures, shopping at Chanel and riding in limos.
"FOMO" opens with an interpretive dance number by Drake. The video features a jet-set lifestyle across its 21 songs, with one track including the line, "I'll smack that ass until I leave a print."
On streaming charts, approximately 15 tracks from the project lodged on Apple Music, while three appeared on iTunes.
The film makes extensive use of samples and was produced in Canada. The official YouTube release remains largely unchanged from the original stream, with one notable difference: Ella Langley's appearance was removed from the "Choosin Texas" segment.
The project echoes Drake's earlier "ICEMAN livestream," which previously transformed segments into a visual album for his "HABIBTI" and "MAID OF HONOUR" releases. Tyler and Farokh are credited in the "FOMO HOUR" presentation.
