Steelers Rule Out Pittman for Week 2 Patriots Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers ruled out wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. for Sunday's Week 2 game against the New England Patriots due to a foot injury.

Pittman was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, then did not participate Thursday and Friday, according to the team's injury report.

The Steelers acquired Pittman in March 2026 in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts. He had spent his first six NFL seasons with Indianapolis after being selected in the second round of the 2020 draft.

Pittman led Pittsburgh's receiving yards in his Week 1 debut. With the Colts, he handled 23.6 percent of Indianapolis' targets and recorded 25 touchdowns across 95 games.

Without Pittman, the Steelers will turn to rookie Germie Bernard, third-string receiver Roman Wilson and tight end Darnell Washington for additional offensive contributions.
