Bayern Munich defeated Union Berlin 7-0 in Bundesliga action, with Michael Olise delivering a dominant performance.
Olise, 24, scored a hat-trick—his first career three-goal game—and earned Man of the Match honors. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praised the winger after the win.
"It's a joy to play alongside him," Harry Kane said of Olise. "The way he plays football and the way he conducts himself off the pitch is unique."
Kompany highlighted Olise's overall qualities. "Working with players like him is easy," the coach said. "It's important to me how players are as human beings, not just their skills on the pitch."
Olise has performed at a high level consistently for nearly two and a half years. He rarely grants media interviews, preferring to let his play speak for itself.
Kompany also addressed the team's display. He said the young players showed mental readiness, displaying energy and moving the ball well. The victory marked a strong reaction after a poor first half against Elversberg in their previous match.
"The team showed hunger and the desire to always show their best performance," Kompany said.
The coach noted he wanted Jamal Musiala to play 90 minutes ahead of the international break, allowing the midfielder to focus on performance and evaluation following recent events.
