Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a net outflow of 4,300 BTC, totaling $328 million, on Sept. 17. Ethereum spot ETFs saw withdrawals of 76,217 ETH, or $186.28 million, on the same day.
Combined, the outflow reached $514.28 million for Sept. 17, marking one of the largest single-day net exits from U.S. spot crypto ETFs.
The Sept. 17 outflow extends a broader trend of capital leaving Bitcoin ETFs over the past week. Bitcoin ETFs registered a 7-day net outflow of 12,061 BTC, equating to $919.92 million. Ethereum ETFs recorded a net outflow of 32,343 ETH, totaling $79.05 million over the same period.
Specific products showed uneven pressure. On Sept. 16, Grayscale's GBTC recorded a $44.7 million outflow, while ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) lost $85.1 million. BlackRock's IBIT and Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) saw smaller moves.
The recent withdrawal reverses earlier gains. On Sept. 3, Bitcoin ETFs experienced a $530 million inflow, led by IBIT with $425.8 million. On Aug. 19, Bitcoin ETFs gained $517.2 million.
Ethernet ETFs have been volatile. On July 29, these products saw a net inflow of 2,000 ETH, or $3.8 million, followed the next day by an outflow of 6,440 ETH, or $12.34 million.
Over the last 10 trading days, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs have posted a cumulative net outflow of $158.7 million.
