Anchorage Digital Bank added custody support for Etherlink, the Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible layer-2 network that settles on Tezos. The first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. is now supporting seven assets built on the network.

The headline addition is xU3O8, a tokenized uranium token with a market cap just above $9 million. Anchorage's integration also covers wrapped XTZ (WXTZ), the liquid staking token stXTZ, wrapped Ether (WETH), and stablecoins USDT, USDC and USDSM.

Institutional clients can hold these Etherlink-based assets in segregated accounts at Anchorage. The custody mechanism enables regulated settlement of tokens via Etherlink.

Tokenization of physical uranium cuts out the friction that has historically locked retail and smaller institutions out of the space. Direct exposure required specialist intermediaries, lengthy settlement periods and high minimums. Tokenization allows transfers and settlement in minutes instead of weeks.

Anchorage is not first to custody xU3O8. Digital asset custodian Hex Trust integrated Etherlink in August and began supporting the uranium token and other network-issued assets.
