The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards commenced on Sept. 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Top television talent gathered for the event, hosted for the first time by Mariska Hargitay.

The red carpet showcased minimalist looks. Actresses Abby Elliott from "The Bear" and Supriya Ganesh from "The Pitt" opted for sleeker gowns in feminine shades of baby pink and blue. Louisa Jacobson of "The Gilded Age" chose a sleek black tuxedo suit by Tom Ford.

Grace Gummer, known for her role in "Love Story," also wore a classic black glittering column dress by Christian Dior. Actor Adam Brody wore a custom navy Prada suit, accessorizing with a handkerchief tie and an Omega watch. Matty Matheson, also from "The Bear," arrived in a two-tone tuxedo complete with a cummerbund.

Other stars wore vibrant, eye-catching ensembles. Eunice Bae, from "Your Friends Neighbors," selected a vintage, bright yellow feathered dress by Bill Blass. Her co-star, Aimee Carrero, showcased a black ruffled two-piece look.

Lisa Rinna, a star of "Real Housewives and Traitors," appeared in a voluminous gown. Shabana Azeez of "The Pitt" wore a gold statuette-inspired gown, a common awards show choice. Nominees from shows like "Widow’s Bay," "Hacks" and "Margo’s Got Money Troubles" also attended the event.
