DALLAS
Perry Weather closed a $110 million Series C led by Silversmith Capital Partners, bringing total capital raised to $131.35 million since its 2013 founding.
The weather safety platform serves more than 3,000 customers—school districts, municipalities, construction firms, manufacturers and major-league sports teams—by automating compliance with weather policies through on-site monitoring and triggered alerts.
The core economics are straightforward: most organizations have inclement-weather protocols, but enforcement is inconsistent and manual. Decision-makers—coaches, superintendents, safety managers—typically rely on consumer weather apps pulling data from stations miles away. Perry Weather deploys proprietary sensors on customers' property and uses automated sirens and phone notifications to enforce policy at the moment conditions meet thresholds.
Arthur Ventures, which led the Series A ($6.25 million) and Series B ($15 million), participated in this round. Founder and CEO Colin Perry said the market tailwind is structural: "Weather is getting more regulated and more disruptive every year, and the stakes are human lives."
The $110 million will accelerate AI and data capabilities and fund hiring of more than 50 people across engineering and product development. Perry Weather currently employs just over 100; the new positions are slated for its Uptown Dallas headquarters through 2027. The expansion reflects both increasing customer demand and the product complexity of real-time, site-specific automation at scale.
