Spot Bitcoin ETFs reversed course Wednesday, capturing $101.15 million in net inflows after shedding $236.5 million the prior day—the largest single-day outflow since July 31. The rebound signals partial institutional re-engagement, though the day's inflow fell short of fully offsetting Tuesday's exit.
Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $48.08 million in outflows Wednesday, snapping a 12-day consecutive inflow streak. Over that period, Ethereum funds had accumulated $1.62 billion in net new capital. Spot XRP ETFs also ended an 11-session inflow run with $7.2 million in outflows; the prior streak had brought in approximately $170 million, with cumulative XRP ETF inflows now standing at $1.68 billion.
The divergent patterns reflect tactical portfolio reallocation among institutions. Bitcoin's single-day rebound, while material, remains insufficient to signal conviction restoration given the magnitude of Tuesday's outflow. The simultaneous termination of multi-day runs in Ethereum and XRP suggests either profit-taking after sustained capital inflows or systematic rebalancing tied to price appreciation—Bitcoin rose 4.8 percent to $80,986 over 24 hours; Ethereum gained 4.5 percent to $2,499; XRP reached $1.46.
The magnitude of preceding inflows into Ethereum and XRP—$1.62 billion and $170 million respectively over their respective streaks—indicates institutional conviction in alternative assets remains present. Wednesday's reversals may reflect tactical rather than structural shifts in digital asset positioning.
