OpenSea restored Solana NFT trading on its OS2 marketplace on August 31, allowing users to discover, buy and sell Solana-based NFTs. The integration expands OpenSea's existing Solana offering, which had previously included only fungible token trading.

This marks OpenSea's return to the Solana NFT market roughly four years after its initial beta launch in April 2022. OpenSea reintroduced Solana support for fungible tokens in April 2025 as part of its staged OS2 rollout, with the August NFT launch completing that sequence.

Solana's NFT market generated $173 million in trading volume in March 2022, the period of OpenSea's initial entry. The original beta covered 165 collections but gained limited traction, as Solana-native venues such as Magic Eden and Tensor dominated NFT activity on the network.

OpenSea highlighted several collections available at launch, including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, Collector Crypt and Phygitals. The announcement did not include specific marketplace-volume targets or collection-count totals, nor details on how trading activity might be divided between OpenSea and established Solana-native platforms.

Solana now joins OpenSea's marketplace spanning more than 25 blockchains, positioning the launch as an expansion of the platform's multichain product.
