Revolut has begun rolling out EURR, a euro-backed stablecoin, to select customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The token maintains a €1 peg and is deployed on Ethereum and Polygon, with availability planned for other European Economic Area markets later this year.

Bridge Building S.A. a Luxembourg-registered regulated issuer, handles issuance and redemption. Bridge, the stablecoin infrastructure firm, was acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in February 2025.

The launch replaces Tether support across Europe—Revolut is discontinuing USDT access for its users in the region. Revolut serves over 80 million retail customers globally, with more than 16 million using its crypto services.

The dual-chain deployment on Ethereum and Polygon expands liquidity access across Layer 1 and scaling solutions. Bridge Building S.A.'s regulated status provides direct euro redemption, anchoring the peg through a transparent redemption mechanism that allows users to convert EURR back to fiat at par.
