Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Sunday condemned remarks made by right-wing influencer Laura Loomer on social media, describing them as "nasty, hateful, racist comments."
Greene reacted to a post from Loomer directed at Florida state Rep. Angie Nixon (D), who is running for Senate. "I 1000 percent denounce Laura Loomer and her nasty, hateful, racist comments," Greene wrote on social media. "That is Trump's new MAGA and Republican Party. I want nothing to do with it."
Greene asserted that "the Republican Party and President Trump own Laura Loomer and her nonstop vitriol." She said Loomer's words are "demeaning rhetoric that should not be tolerated." She also claimed Loomer's attacks harm Republican Senator Ashley Moody's Senate race against Nixon and that Loomer "has consistently hurt the Republican Party as she whispers nonstop insanity in the President's ear."
Loomer fired back, defending her comments and leveling her own accusations. She alleged that Greene hired Milo Yiannopoulos, a far-right provocateur, and allowed him to live in her home while he plotted against President Trump, supported designated terrorist organizations like Hamas, and spread rumors that Trump faked his assassination attempt.
Yiannopoulos, a former intern for Greene, was detained and deported to the United Kingdom last week. Loomer has claimed credit for reporting him to federal authorities—a claim partially corroborated by White House border czar Tom Homan, who told CNN on Sunday that "a lot of people tipped ICE off and that Loomer probably was among them."
Loomer directly challenged Greene: "You are most definitely a Democrat, and you own Milo more than anyone because you were aware of all of his activities and his immigration issues yet you still kept him around." She added, "I don't work for the White House or President Trump. I am free to say whatever I want."
The clash reflects a deepening split within conservative circles. Greene was once a close Trump ally but fell out of favor following an open feud. She resigned from Congress in January and has since criticized Trump's administration, particularly over the cost of living and military involvement in Iran. Trump responded by calling her "Marjorie Traitor Brown."
