Bybit is launching "Perp Options" on Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. UTC, tying options contracts directly to stock perpetuals and enabling 24/7 trading outside traditional market hours. The product will first offer exposure to SpaceX (SPCX) and Nvidia (NVDA).

The contracts support fractional lot trading and settle in USDT, integrating directly into Bybit's Unified Trading Account. Traditional stock options require 100-share contracts; Bybit's fractional approach lowers capital barriers. The platform will support spreads, straddles, covered calls and portfolio margin for eligible traders.

Bybit plans to add Tesla (TSLA), QQQ, SOXL and Micron (MU) as expiration dates are introduced regularly.

The launch reflects a structural shift among crypto platforms toward continuous equity derivatives. Coinbase launched stock perpetual futures earlier this year, enabling synthetic leveraged positions on selected stocks and exchange-traded funds for eligible traders outside the United States. Kraken and Robinhood have also moved toward 24/7 equity trading services.

Tokenized stocks amplify this convergence. In July, Ondo announced that users of its Perps platform could utilize tokenized stocks as collateral for trading perpetuals linked to stocks, commodities and other assets. Ondo said the move expanded tokenized stock utility beyond on-chain holding.

Bybit's Perp Options represent another incremental step in the migration of equity derivatives onto crypto-native infrastructure, where perpetual settlement and fractional access create structural advantages over traditional venues.
