Wednesday's inflow represented a 26 percent drop from Tuesday's $314.4 million—the smallest daily total since Aug. 18. The streak narrowed year-to-date net outflows for spot Bitcoin ETFs to $2.03 billion. Cumulative net inflows across all Bitcoin spot funds climbed to $54.6 billion, with total net assets reaching $98.6 billion.
Bitcoin price action stalled after briefly surpassing $80,000 on Tuesday, trading near $78,759—down 0.3 percent over 24 hours. Market sentiment strengthened Thursday with the Crypto Fear Greed Index rising to 71 from 65, holding in "Greed" territory.
Altcoin funds demonstrated parallel strength. U.S. spot Ether ETFs registered an eighth consecutive day of inflows Wednesday, attracting $192.4 million. U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs experienced their largest daily inflow since Jan. 5, drawing $28.1 million and pushing cumulative net inflows for XRP funds to $1.62 billion.
Bitcoin's rally has gathered momentum, gaining roughly 38 percent from its late-June low below $58,000. Last week, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $1.92 billion—their strongest intake since October—marking a stark reversal from an earlier nine-day streak through May 28 when Bitcoin ETFs posted $2.8 billion in outflows.
On-chain data tells a different story. Whale balances are contracting year-on-year, tracking 2022's bear-phase pace. This divergence between institutional ETF demand and whale accumulation highlights competing capital flows within the market structure.
