LOS ANGELES — Actress Tamara Mello and television editor Paolo Cascardo listed their Los Angeles home for $1.499 million. The couple purchased the midcentury modern property in Nov. 2021 for $1.31 million, a 14.4 percent gain over roughly four and a half years.
The split-level ranch pairs vintage character with modern updates, including high-efficiency solar panels and an edible backyard garden with apple and fig trees.
Mello said on TikTok that she and Cascardo are leaving California to live closer to aging family members. They considered Portland, Ore. before settling on Florida. The couple plans to travel across the state to explore communities including Sarasota and St. Augustine.
Their move is part of a wider shift of high-profile residents trading the West Coast for other states, a pattern that affects real estate markets in California and destination states alike.
Mello, known for roles in "She's All That" and "Popular," is distinct from actress Tamera Mowry-Housley, who recently listed her California home for $2.7 million as she builds a new residence in Napa Valley.
