Norges Bank reported a stake of 7.3 million Class A shares in SpaceX, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The disclosure positions Norway's sovereign wealth fund as a significant institutional investor in the privately held aerospace company and offers a rare look at SpaceX's closely guarded ownership structure.

SpaceX remains private, making its valuation and shareholder base largely opaque to public market participants. The fund, which manages Norway's oil revenues and takes long-term positions in global companies, is signaling confidence in SpaceX's growth across its Starlink and Starship programs.

SpaceX's valuation has been a subject of intense speculation, with private secondary market trades valuing the company at over $180 billion. Norges Bank's stake represents a strong institutional endorsement of that valuation and may pressure other large institutional investors and pension funds to seek similar private placements for exposure to high-growth technology companies. Tesla, a publicly traded company also led by Elon Musk, trades at $332.81.

SpaceX has not announced plans for an initial public offering, focusing instead on expanding its Starlink satellite internet service and advancing its Mars exploration goals. Investors should watch for sovereign wealth fund filings in coming quarters, where similar private market disclosures could provide further clarity on late-stage private company valuations.
