Circle's EURC leads the sector at approximately $526 million in market cap, a 65 percent share of the total euro stablecoin market.

SG-Forge's EURCV holds second position with a 16.7 percent share. SG-Forge operates as a subsidiary of Societe Generale. Twenty-three other euro stablecoins account for the remaining 18.3 percent.

Ethereum dominates on-chain distribution, hosting 69.5 percent of total euro stablecoin supply. Solana follows at 15.1 percent and Coinbase's Base network ranks third at 7.2 percent. The assets span 20 blockchains in total.

The Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, effective June 2024, established a regulatory structure for euro-denominated stablecoins in Europe, supporting institutional entry into the segment.

For context, the euro area's M2 money supply exceeds €16 trillion—on-chain euro liquidity remains a fraction of that figure.
