Rarible launched its NFT marketplace on Solana on Thursday, Aug. 6, featuring Claynosaurz as its first collection.

The expansion adds Solana to Rarible's supported networks, which include Ethereum, MegaETH and Base. Solana-native creators and collectors now have a dedicated trading and discovery option without moving assets cross-chain.

Before the full launch, Rarible deployed Gacha Station on Solana—a capsule-toy-style product selling randomized digital collectibles—as an early testbed to assess user behavior and product functionality.

Rarible said it spent several months developing and testing the marketplace, engaging directly with NFT communities to understand how projects approach identity, culture and collector preferences. That feedback shaped the platform's strategy of delivering collection-specific experiences rather than a generic interface.

Claynosaurz, a Solana-based entertainment and NFT brand built around animated dinosaur characters, launched in November 2022. It serves as the first featured collection on the new marketplace.

Additional projects from across the Solana ecosystem will be onboarded in the coming days and weeks. Rarible did not provide a firm schedule or disclose how many collections are planned for the initial rollout.

Rarible's roadmap for its Solana presence includes onboarding more collections, introducing new features, enhancing trading capabilities and developing editorial content and community campaigns. The company did not disclose transaction-volume targets.

The announcement did not introduce new geographic restrictions for U.S. users. Rarible said U.S. regulatory treatment of NFTs typically depends on how a collection is structured or marketed, not the underlying blockchain. In Europe, the regulatory environment for digital assets continues to evolve.
