Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs collectively recorded over $1.02 billion in net inflows over the past seven days, according to on-chain data.
Bitcoin spot ETFs accumulated $798.68 million during the period, including $111.94 million on the most recent trading day alone — equivalent to 1,731 BTC added to fund holdings. Over the full week, funds acquired 12,354 BTC.
Ethereum spot ETFs added $224.97 million over the same seven days. The most recent session contributed $56.78 million, with funds absorbing 29,914 ETH. Weekly, Ethereum ETFs added 118,521 ETH.
Bitcoin was trading at $64,629 and Ethereum at $1,889 at the time of publication. Those inflows translate directly into additional BTC and ETH held by the underlying products, adding to on-chain supply held in custody.
BlackRock's IBIT posted $118.8 million in inflows on Aug. 6 and $196.0 million on Aug. 5. Fidelity's FBTC and ARK's ARKB also registered positive daily flows throughout the period, per public flow data.
The inflow streak follows a rough stretch for Bitcoin ETFs: a $249.2 million net outflow on July 31 and a $75.5 million outflow on July 29.
Bitcoin spot ETFs launched in January 2024, followed by Ethereum spot ETFs in May 2024. When net inflows occur, ETF issuers must purchase the corresponding asset from open markets or over-the-counter desks to back new shares.
