Binance transferred 1,050 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $67.1 million, to Ceffu, its institutional custody platform—a move that reflects sustained demand from large-scale investors seeking audited, compliant storage for digital assets.
Ceffu operates as Binance's dedicated institutional custody arm, formerly known as Binance Custody. It provides secure storage, settlement and compliance services specifically for large-scale investors.
This transfer builds on a consistent pattern over the last 30 days. On-chain data firm Onchain Lens tracked more than 3,000 BTC—worth approximately $192 million—moving from Binance to Ceffu across 12 separate transactions during that period.
These transfers differ from typical exchange outflows to private wallets. The Bitcoin leaves Binance's main exchange hot wallet but stays within the broader Binance ecosystem, under the control of its custody arm.
The primary driver is institutional client demand. Large funds, family offices and corporate treasuries are moving into secure, audited storage solutions—and Ceffu is built for exactly that. Its services include security protocols and compliance frameworks designed to meet the strict regulatory standards institutional investors face.
Ceffu has also expanded its insurance coverage and security certifications, making it an increasingly viable option for clients prioritizing asset protection and regulatory adherence.
Bitcoin currently trades at $65,246, up 0.7 percent over 24 hours.
The flow is not strictly one-directional. A recent transaction showed 2,342 BTC, valued at $158.1 million, transferred from Ceffu back to Binance, signaling active asset management by institutional clients rather than a one-way custody migration.
