Sevilla have agreed a €9.2 million transfer fee with Swedish club IK Sirius for striker Robbie Ure, with the 22-year-old set to complete his medical early next week. The deal ties Ure to the Andalusian club through June 2031 on a five-year contract in LaLiga.
The fee represents a remarkable return for Sirius. The Swedish club paid roughly €750,000 to bring Ure from Anderlecht in March 2025, meaning they will collect more than 12 times that outlay in under 18 months. That kind of profit margin on a single sale changes a club's finances.
Ure's numbers this Allsvenskan season made him impossible to ignore. In 15 matches, the Glasgow-born forward has scored 15 goals and added two assists, contributing directly to 17 of his team's goals. Sirius currently lead the Swedish top flight by 14 points, and Ure is the primary reason why. At 1.89 meters, he operates as a traditional center forward but has the mobility to press and attack space when his team wins the ball back.
Sevilla sporting director José Ignacio Navarro identified Ure as a top priority for the forward line. The club needed attacking reinforcement after the departures of Juanlu Sánchez and Djibril Sow opened room in the budget. Navarro moved on Ure as the player who fit the profile and the finances.
The path to an agreement was not straightforward. Sirius had set their asking price at around €10 million, pointing to the number of clubs chasing their striker and his contract running through December 2029. With no pressure to sell, the Swedish club held firm, and Sevilla had to get close to that valuation. The €9.2 million fee lands just below that ceiling but effectively meets their terms.
Chelsea and Manchester City both entered discussions over Ure. Both Premier League clubs were exploring a structure where they would acquire his rights first and then send him out on loan rather than deploying him immediately. That approach gave Sirius less certainty than a clean sale, which worked in Sevilla's favor. Italian side Lecce also submitted an offer in the region of €4 million, which Sirius rejected outright. Hoffenheim, Olympique Lyon, Strasbourg and Galatasaray all tracked Ure over recent months without formalizing bids.
Sevilla also had an alternative in mind. Enes Ünal was listed as the fallback option if the Ure pursuit collapsed, which tells you where the club's preference sat. They wanted the younger, chea higher-upside player and pushed until the deal came together.
Ure grew up in Glasgow and came through the youth system at Rangers, where he made his first-team debut in 2022. He then moved to Anderlecht in Belgium but spent most of his time there in reserve team football before the transfer to Sweden gave him consistent senior minutes. Sirius handed him the platform, and he turned it into one of the best individual seasons in the Allsvenskan this year. He has also represented Scotland at youth level.
At the price Sevilla are paying, the risk is low. His transfer value was independently assessed at €5 million, so Sevilla are paying a premium—but €9.2 million for a 22-year-old who scores a goal per game in a competitive European league is not an overreach. If he translates even half of that production to LaLiga, the club comes out well ahead. The five-year contract gives both sides room to see that development through without pressure.
The club needs attacking production now. The departures that created the budget space also created a gap in the squad, and Ure arrives as the direct answer to that gap. His age means Sevilla can sell him at a profit down the line if the Allsvenskan form carries over. The medical early next week is the last formal step before the signing is official.
