The Athletic reported the deal at up to €140 million, equivalent to approximately $162 million or £120 million. ESPN cited a €135 million valuation, while a separate figure of £115.7 million was also reported.
Diomande's contract runs through June 2032. The deal is structured along the lines of Jude Bellingham's contract at Real Madrid, with performance-based incentives that increase year-on-year based on achievements.
Diomande had joined RB Leipzig for their pre-season training camp in Austria while negotiations between the clubs were ongoing. The agreement was finalized after several weeks of talks.
Paris Saint-Germain had been a prominent rival for Diomande's signature. PSG's pursuit has ended with Real Madrid's successful completion of the deal.
